Bowen will not win us any games...but hopefully our defense can adjust and we can squeak out a win in game 5. Brochu always bailed us out on shoot-ins (like a third defense man) A real strong first period on Friday and we still have a chance. Bowen has earned a spot as 1 of our two goalies for next year (maybe not the starter). Have really enjoyed this years team!!

Took a long look again at the video highlights from last night. Seemed to me that Bown was a bit slow to the puck on goals 2 and 4. On goal 2, 24 was out of position and 18 was slow to the loose puck. On goal 4, 14 let his man, the goal scorer, go. Goals 1, 3 and 5 his teammates were out of position. Perhaps Brochu would have made a couple of those saves but honestly the players in front of Bowen really need to tighten up otherwise my prediction of Knights in 7 will be off by 1 game and the wrong team.

Yeah. The concussion in January. Dont think he fully recovered come playoff time. Just couldnt track pucks.
.can affect concentration for sure in the short, mid or long term

TY. Wasn't going to mention it again lol.

Why would we want Brochu to play hurt? That contradicts your previous statements of telling everyone they are wrong and calling them out about Bowens play?

I am not saying you are wrong, but you can't have it both ways.
My comment was about playing on something that you CAN play on. If it's a knee injury that you can brace and play through...you do it. Not a contradition of Bowen's play. Brochu would have to wait for the swelling to go down if it is an injury you can play through for any type of brace to be fitted. Again...not a contradition

Injured vs. Hurting.
If it's just pain, it's the players choice to try or not and the staffs to monitor effectiveness n decide on PT.
If it's an injury (esp one that could get worse if aggrevated) it's the staffs duty to hold the player out. Simple really.

I witnessed Brochu playing last year in the playoffs when he probably shouldn't have. Anyone questioning his desire needs to have another look at him. Anyone saying he should play and risk further injury needs to take a closer look at themselves. This young man not only has a career to think of but future quality of life. Take it from someone who damaged his knee in his early 20s and is living with the consequences in his 60s.

Shame on anyone who is so enthralled with cheering for a junior hockey team telling a player to suck it up and play. These guys have it in their blood to go above and beyond.

I think game 5 is the Knights season.
Win and they have a CHANCE to advance.
Lose and I think it's all over.
They haven't had any stress/adversity yet in the playoffs, it'll be fun to watch Friday and see how they react. Who steps up.
Tight, loose, tentative, aggressive......please be aggressive lol.
They gotta obviously come out better in the 1st. Their game has been to stay close n impose their will as games move on. Sarnia took that away last 2 games.

Who wants to step up n make a play early?

I don't think anyone is saying Brochu should just shut up and nut up. The statement was if it's something he can play on with a brace nothing should keep him from strapping them on. If it's a sprain they swell like a frigging balloon. Which right now is probably why he is listed as day to day. I for one think he's done and I have stated such. But...and a very big but....if he can brace and play...he will do it

Isn't Fowler/Kennedy Sports Clinic one of the Knight's sponsors ? I would think that the team & Brochu would have availed their assessment
services regarding his injury and prospect of returning to play. Their reputation is widely known for treating many types of sports injuries and orthopedic care. .

If London had any defense they might have won. I fault Bowen on the 5th goal but thats it. Sarnia had carte blanche in the Knights end tonight.

You guys really are focusing and dumping on a kid. You get that dont you? There is no possible way this fixation is healthy.
You think my post was “dumping” on the kid? I don’t think so, he played poorly and that “fixation” is neither healthy or unhealthy. If you think he played well and gave the knights a chance to win then I question what game you watched.

fixed it for ya ;)
lol, no you didn’t. The defence wasn’t great but it’s not the reason we lost. I know you think otherwise but I’m sticking with my comment that if we had any goaltending, London wins that game. Going forward, Bowen needs to be like he was in some of the games this year. But the momentum is favouring Sarnia.

Well...if it's any consolation...Fowler Kennedy said my knee's were fine

Exactly well said. My original comment which you added on to sure took a life of its own and became something it isnt intended to be.

The term "guys" meant not just you. A wolf pack mentality was involved. Making the statement multiple times is dumping. I dont recall you calling out the porous defense. It was all on Bowen.

there are many professional sports leagues out there that might be more to your liking.

I don't know about the pro level but it seems to me I've read the CHL and it's teams are liable for allowing it's players playing with injuries and/or certain amount of movable joint pains. I can't recall exactly when or in who's news pages I seen this but I do remember it came out of class action as result from a former Swift Current player in the WHL where he was allowed to play with shoulder pain and his unable to pursuit his carreer after his Junior completion.. In the years I was playing back in the 60's and early 70's it was totally left to the player

No I’m fine being a Knights fan thanks and I’m also fine sharing my opinion that Bowen cost us the game. Sorry it doesnt fit your narrative. I’m sure it wouldn’t take long to find a post where you were critical of something.

Everyone beating on Bowen remember he doesn't score goals! And to beat him the puck has to beat 5 of our players before it beats Bowen cut the kid some slack he will be okay if we lose this series I think it will be good for Bowen to in the long run!!!! Time to step up or step out!!!!!
