Although I do think that Logan is a key player for the Knights I kind of think George Diaco may also have been a worthy candidate? A lot of key goals and assists at vital times throughout the season. Both worthy .....
I think Winterton returns (lost almost an entire season so can't see him sticking in the NHL).A quick look at next years overage possibilities . MCcue,Winterton,Humprey,Federkow,Mailloux,Mackinnon and Federkow. Del Monte also on list but rumors are hes not a possiblity.
Mailloux and Winterton might stick with pro team?
Then it would be MCcue, Humprey and Mackinnon.
OReilly,Dickenson and Nicholl are 2006's here for another 3 years.
Another two years of Barkey and Cowan..how much better will they get? Cheers!
I don't know if Barlow's hit was warranting of an additional suspension, he got the 5 minutes plus kicked out of the game. His hit was not of the monstrous kind, the placement of his hands to the back of the helmet was dirty and dangerous but the hit itself was not overly excessive in my view. I think the league may have got it right with this one even though I am a Knights fan. IMHOSo much inconsistantcy from the league on this front.
Looks like Barlow got the Brandt Clarke treatment. Both of those guys infractions were worse then the Pinelli hit but you know the names gotta play.
The Dillingham suspension when compared seems even more excessive ( or Clarke and Barlow not enough ) point being they need to choose a lane and not based on who committed the offense.
I would imagine Winterton will be pro somewhere, AHL or ECHL. Same with Mailloux.I think Winterton returns (lost almost an entire season so can't see him sticking in the NHL).
So I think we start the season with McCue, Humphrey, Winterton, E-Mac and Federkow (maybe DelMonte) as our OAs.
If DelMonte can't get his head straight I think we roll with Winterton, Humphrey and E-Mac.
McCue, Federkow and DelMonte traded (McCue to Sudbury).
If DelMonte can prove he's worthy to stick around, then E-Mac is the odd man out.
If by chance LM24 is sent back, then we got ourselves some interesting decisions to make.

Diaco's arrival was kind of the TSN turning point of the season. Everything settled down and they started to find success after a rocky start. ( Admittedly the rocky start was the season I was kind of expecting )Although I do think that Logan is a key player for the Knights I kind of think George Diaco may also have been a worthy candidate? I see your point of view and don't even explicitly disagree with it. I was more pointing to the fact that hit was clearly to the head and clearly dangerous and Pinelli got 3 games for a drive by.I don't know if Barlow's hit was warranting of an additional suspension, he got the 5 minutes plus kicked out of the game. Blind side? Do tou know the definition of "blind siding" He hit him in the chest Sedley put his head down and got hit text book clean hit by McCue. Sedley would be wise to look at Eric Lindros as to why you keep your head up!Yes different.. it was a bad hit 100% it was a hit from behind and he deserved to be ejected.. however the player got up and skated away fine.. That being said the hit on Sedley resulted in an injury and was a bit of a blind side in my opinion… maybe not suspension worthy but likely coulda had some kind of penalty called but thats just my opinion.. nothing came of it so we move on.. Think the Attack are in tough now with out Barlow for at minimum this game but likely should be atleast the next one as well.. The only upside for Owen Sound is the Attack played a few games at the end of the season without him and found other ways to score so maybe they will be forced to do it if they want to make any kind of series.
Not limiting, just discussing what happens with our OAs. Not worried about other teams OAs until everything shakes out at the beginning of the season. I think we can def upgrade McCue and E-Mac.Why limit overage candidates to those currently on the roster ? There will be a whole slew of possibilities from all those teams who went "all in" at this season's trading deadline, and they'll be looking for players/picks to cobble together any sort of competitive team.
I can appreciate the value of picking from players you have ( no cost), but if a player who can really help to fill a need becomes available, and is possibly superior to a roster player occupying one of those spots, I suggest that deserves a long look. ( Especially if that player can be had at a Mark Hunter price tag.)
I'll make a prediction... We'll see Lawrence drop the gloves and beeline for McCue before the game ends.Mentioned Barlow was trying to play a heavy, fiesty game earlier n good on him but when ya do n chirp people come looking for ya.
Another clean shot by McCue, a OS D out for 17 minutes and a PP goal.
Not bad.
Keep your heads on a swivel London.
