I wouldn't be putting Crane on the checking line...his defense leaves a lot to be desired. On one shift last night, he was standing in the middle of the defensive zone (not covering anybody), then when he did finally pickup a man, he immediately left him to go after another player, again leaving his own man wide open in the slot. You'd think at this point in the season they would have the man-to-man coverage thing down pat, but that doesn't seem to be the case.I have been disappointed in Humphrey the last 6 games or so. Sim and Barkey are missed up front. McKinnon on back end. I think next time we have a turnover that is bad and ends up in behind the goal tender call a time out. That way you don’t have two bang bang. It has happened multiple times this year that I can remember. Twice against Flint for sure at home and away. We just have to win 3 in a row now ffs. Not hard and I have faith. Throw the lines back together with Barkey and SIM at centre. Gazizov, McGurn and Diaco, Cowan, Winterton and Barkey, Sim, McCue, Crane, and Julien, Humphrey and Nichol/Levin/Paris. You could swap McCue and Julien if you need to spice up either line.
Out of all the other 3rd/4th line options, I think Julien has played the best overall, and I would put him on the 3rd line with Sim and McCue.
