Still think taking Barkey and putting him on the wing was a mistake. He was consistently dominating the dot and gets rewarded by moving to wing. I don’t get it. Winterton on right wing seemed better to me.

Barkey still out. I'm thinking it's a bit of a longer term injury at this point.
I’m thinking that why bring him back for 1 away game ….. let him rest up until Friday … extra 7 days rest …. if he’s not in Friday’s lineup ….. you’re probably right……….. long term ….

Hope the team can flip the switch back on for the playoffs. Have not played the style that got them to first place in the last 10 games or so. Hope they get their confidence back.

Not easy to just flip a switch and turn it on. This team is 'broken'. They have lost their identiy and are spinning their wheels. Defenses has become porous, goaltending is pedestrian at best lately and no one stepping up on offense. You just can't have scoring by committee. I don't care what anyone says, the Hunters should have made a deal to bring in some offensive fire power at the trade deadline but they didn't have the balls to do it. I'm sick of just being competetive every year. Go for it FFS! This was a go for it year and the Hunters failed to pull the trigger once again. Sure their excuse is that they didn't want to mortgage the future but give me one player on this team that isn't replaceable. One and done in the playoffs IMO.

Not much to say …. No PP … can’t hang onto a lead …. 22/57 face offs …..giving up the lead with back to back goals in 15 seconds….. we got 2 games against Windsor and 1 game against Kitchener… tough finish to the schedule…..hopefully Barkey returns Friday ….

I have been disappointed in Humphrey the last 6 games or so. Sim and Barkey are missed up front. McKinnon on back end. I think next time we have a turnover that is bad and ends up in behind the goal tender call a time out. That way you don’t have two bang bang. It has happened multiple times this year that I can remember. Twice against Flint for sure at home and away. We just have to win 3 in a row now ffs. Not hard and I have faith. Throw the lines back together with Barkey and SIM at centre. Gazizov, McGurn and Diaco, Cowan, Winterton and Barkey, Sim, McCue, Crane, and Julien, Humphrey and Nichol/Levin/Paris. You could swap McCue and Julien if you need to spice up either line.

The hardest part of playing hockey is playing without the puck, that is where games are lost. You need to push as hard defensively to get the puck back, cover your zone hard and pickup your man in your D-zone, to sit and wait for it to come to you will give you last night's result every time against a fast team.

For a team that was supposed to have a staunch defense, we can't keep leads
For a team that on paper had or has one of the best d in the league it does seem to be a problem lately. The defense on this team, the talent it has, should have progressed into a shut down unit. I do believe and just my opinion that if this team had a true defensive coach,( dman), that we would see results. These guys need the experience of a dman coach... the small things that can be passed on by someone who played the game. Correct me if i'm wrong but Mr. Ramage was the last?
