So, did this auction actually happen or did I miss something? No mention of it on the Knights site....what happened now?
Looks like it is still going, just checked and it says there is 6 days, 20 hours remaining!

I've heard this before, but Dan Girardi confirmed it on Spittin’ Chiclets recently. During the 04 Memorial Cup year the Knights were trading for Adam Dennis, Dan Girardi AND Ryan Callahan but Callahan decided to finish his career in Guelph. Crazy

Does anyone think the Hunters will upgrade in net??

Michael Simpson or Bejamin Gaudreau seems like the most logical candidates or does Dale have complete trust in Bowen??

The way I see it, the Knights have 3 goaltenders who have a chance to make a HUGE impression in camp next month. Whether or not, the Knights look to go out and get another goaltender will depend upon how well those 3 perform. No changes (in net) will be made until the Hunters have had a chance to evaluate what each of the 3 have to offer.

As far as I'm concerned, the starting goalie position is totally up for grabs and will go the one who projects as being most deserving!

I expect that the cost for Michael Simpson would be a 2nd and a 3rd round draft picks and possibly a 4th or 5th round draft pick.

I think the Petes can get more for Michael Simpson than that. He was the playoff MVP. They will get a minimum of a 2nd and a 3rd round draft picks for him.

He was the MVP but a healthy Brett Brochu was better. Simpson was vey average at the MC. Nevertheless, he would probably want to play at home his final year. How about an OA for OA trade? Max McCue could play with his brother and Kaeden could be a throw in on the deal.

The Petes do not need any additional overages. They have more than they need.

What draft picks would you include in this deal? Michael Simpson is worth more than an overage and an affiliated player. However as I have already said the Petes are likely not in the market for anymore overages.

Pretty free and easy with those picks. Let's see how our inhouse goalie situation looks in September shall we?
Agreed if someone wants to pay up like that let them have him. I’m not feeling warm and fuzzy about our guys but let’s see what they look like first? Bowen I think can be the guy just not sure we have a strong enough BUG if we run with Bowen? Our Dee should make an average goalie look a bit stronger then perhaps he actually is?
