My comment is in regards to the fact the camera focuses on the puck carrier and what is not seen is where players SHOULD be. How many scouts scout from their living room?
Scouts are there to view a particular player or group of players and may be pleasantly surprised by someone else....but they are focused not on the game itself.
Have you never watched a game at home, perhaps a Philly game, where you could easily focus your attention away from the puck, on the defensive set-up, on what a line mate is up to?
Maybe you cannot see what the goaltender is doing when the play is in the other end, but that's not what you are there for. The live game is completely different....and you really should be doing both....which you would do if you don't follow the team on the road.
Also, scouts have already seen plenty of video before they ever started down the road to your town. They watch some after the fact as well.
When someone says Niagara or Ottawa is a juggernaut (or Guelph) they really haven't got the slightest clue what they're talking about...if they're from London.
How's that? Better?
Hypocrisy, right? Phillyfan?
