He didn't say it was a monumental mistake, just that it was one. Keep in mind, context is important here. Kopitar is who he thought Montreal should have drafted to address their hole down the middle. One could make a very compelling argument Kopitar may well have been the better choice, if only because it's easier to find a good goalie compared to a top tier center.

Its hindsight to say Pierre wanted Kopitar, he very well might have pushed Staal or Brule.

I agree 100%, everyone has a right to comment and complain. That's the whole point of a forum. It would be boring if it wasn't different people with different opinions. If the template is so easy to see and comprehend why has only CHI PIT and LAK won in the recent years? How come ALL the other teams didn't adopt this SUPER easy template to win?

I didn't suggest it was easy to do. I said it was obvious how these teams did it. Winning a championship is difficult in any pro sport. Bergevin is trying to build a team to win in 2003.

I have said it before and will say it again....Bergevin has had no plan. He literally makes **** up as he goes.

I was born in Quebec, spoke French for the first 8 years of my life when we moved to the states and I speak better French then this guy. He is an embarrassment and his unwillingness to hire the best people instead of his pals has set this franchise back gen more years.

This organization is in really bad shape.
