Trouba wipes his canvas with that

this will surely placate the masses

I think the league is smart enough to recognize that Trouba isn't intending to do this dumb shit. He's obviously injured and his timing is so f***ed it's not even funny.

The problem is it may mean he's not tradable until he shows he can hit again.

This is true. The entire HF community is hoping for a Trouba suspension, especially NYR fans.

The first time there has ever been full-board unity.

Not even Cherepanov's death had that.

You had Debbies and Fish fans whining that we didn't deserve a comp pick since we couldn't attempt to sign a kid that died. I remember that time period and how depraved those fanbases were (particularly Devils fans - some of the more disgusting comments came from that group, unsurprisingly).

I wasn't around for that. What the hell did I just read? you have to be kidding me?

That fanbase is seriously unhinged.

They have played like this for huge periods of time against Carolina and Florida and Im not sure its sustainable over the long haul BUT,

This had to be a huge gut-punch to Florida, what more can they really do? They played about as best as they could, had 6 powerplays and still come out on the losing end. It has to be in their heads a little bit by now, its definitely in Bobs head, you could tell by how he reacted to the winning goal. I think he is losing composure and maybe a little tired

And one last thing.. IGOR
I think at this point we are in the long haul.

No, it was very controversial when we got that comp pick. The local fanbases were seriously pissed. Somehow it was controversial that the Rangers got a comp pick from a first round pick we didn't sign. They basically pretzle'd themselves with hilariously tortured logic that always came back to the fact we couldn't sign a dead guy and, thus, didn't fulfill the requirements for a comp pick.

They of course ignored the fact that we had been trying to secure his release from his contract from just about the very second we drafted him.

Laffy needs more ice time PERIOD

If that comes at the expense of Zibs on the PP, so be it.

Play your hot hands. Zibs for sure aint it. He's done f***all since Game 1 against Carolina.

Laviolette pulled the first unit off after 45 seconds on the last PP yesterday and put out the Laf unit. PP1 has earned their right to start the PP and they need some reps to find their game again, can't start splitting it up now.

Oh, God. Thank you for the memories, LOL. I received a couple of warnings during that discourse since it was all so unhinged.

I loved the clown telling Rangers fans that we shouldn't get a pick since it would be hard for that kid to live up to Cherepanov. Just comical stuff to try and say we didn't deserve or need a comp pick.

anyone have a vid of Reinhart's legs giving out while he holds onto his wrist from earlier in the game? Now that we're matched up with Florida the Shakespearean theatrics of that team is more apparent to me now than it ever has been.

2 things could happen. We come out roaring with nothing to lose and they fold like a cheap mentally wrecked tent, OR they are so pissed that they......do what they just did, NOT give up a shortie, Bobrovsky wakes up 2" taller and Wennberg goes back into hiding.
I'm betting on the latter. PROVE me wrong Rangers, please, please.
There is no way either team is folding their tent. Both teams are going to be a tough out. I think Florida comes out guns blazing but the Rangers have been through this rodeo before.

Agreed. Maybe my "eye test" was off because I was a bit drunk but the first two periods we played with some pace and battled. Also considering we had to kill a ton of penalties it wasn't bad.
The third wasn't great. Maybe we didn't give up a ton of great chances but we needed to put a bit more pressure in their zone to relieve some stress on the goalie and D.

Mika. Almost 22 minutes a game. 13 playoff games 1 ES goal.
While going head to head against Barkov who’s a beast on both sides. I don’t think any player should be pick on….

Except for Trouba - jk

Aside from PP1 having a track record and being pieces that fit together perfectly that need to be completely thrown in a blender if you remove one piece, what is Laffy bringing to the PP? Are you putting him on for zone entries? Moving the puck under pressure? Dissecting the box? A shooting threat? It would be nice if we saw these elements once on PP2 before we blow up PP1 for him.

I’ve always thought the fines were stupid. Max 5k for a guy who makes 8 million is nothing.

But how is that hit a fine and the Lomberg headbutt on Vesey, which caused actual injury, nothing by the league???

how about Bennett butt-ending Igor in the face yesterday? all it got was an atta boy from Ferraro.

Do you understand our PP?
This isn't the regular season against schlubs. The east/west is locked down. We need to shoot the puck and possibly get set up from down low.

One option would be to put Zibs in the bumper to set him up... since he likes to be stationary anyway

We need to give them different looks

I know it's highly unlikely for Zibs to be taken off.

Their setup has to be way more dynamic. It's not working. Panarin and Trocheck need to be roaming and have Zibs in the high slot imo

I mean, after a loss, if you post something here in our PGT like, "Man watching Igor let in those easy shots really pissed me off." and someone from the winning teams comes in here and laugh reacts to it, it would probably piss you off.
It would not. I am secure with myself in this regard.
