I was pretty sure it was fake, but amazed how that is being spread amongst the lemmings as a death. Just count the re-tweets

Pretty easy to make things look a certain way using screenshots. People do it all the time on here to try to prove that a hit was illegal and when you look at the actual video its clear it wasn’t.

There is video online of that situation that shows no one was actually trampled. Some of these folks deliberately got in the way of a 700 lbs horse moving their way. Absolutely brain dead

The big takeaway for me tonight is there is some very fashionable skidoo wear still.

Enough with the misinformation. That horse is way more than 700lbs

So is this fake news or true - ? it's being spread really fast on social media. no coverage in the 'news'

Big ass horse is going to big ass horse. If you are involved In a 3 week long antagonizing, city occupying protest, and have finally been given clear warning from the authorities that it’s about to end, this time for real with federal clout, maybe don’t send granny and the kids out to be your shield.

Don’t blame horses, they were very clearly coming through, and slowly.

The sheer amount of cowardice on display is astonishing.

Protest - Success
Police Force - Success
Media - Success

Wins all around. Protest was an international success, Police have done a great job, media excellent coverage (props to CTV)

All in all a very Canadian protest and everyone came out looking good. Groups in conflict came out looking good and they played it responsibly.

politicians looked bad but that’s okay because they all looked bad before this began

It takes a 3 week siege to rile up the citizens of our sleepy little town.

Now that we're riled up, what should we tackle next?

There was an actual event that occurred in this country the other day that was far far more violent than anything we've seen stemming from any of the vaccine protests.

I'm curious what you all think about that event

Nobody wants to comment on that event out of fear of being labeled anti-climate.

Really? Just the other day in this thread I was told that left wing "protests" don't amount to anything more than shouting on social media.

There's been little coverage of it in the media. I suspect some are unaware of the event.

I think you're the only guy I've seen mention it

CBC had a fair bit of coverage, although they're definitely tip-toeing around the identity of the group.

I believe that Minister Marco Mendicino posted a tweet condemning a “violent confrontation at a work site”.

Very tempered language compared to other statements about other things.

Tempered you say? Indeed.

Trudeau did likewise. It hasn’t been mentioned in here, I’d imagine because this is the local COVID thread and that event in BC is neither. But it seems like a no-brainer to say that was a f***ed-up way to “make themselves heard” and I hope the system comes down on them appropriately regardless of their motives. Violence is not the way.
