Currently available:
- E Brannstrom - likely available for a young top 9er or top 6D
- M Del Zotto - would be available for a late pick or any low-salary player
- V Mete - would likely be available for almost anyone who can play
- C. White - he will almost certainly be bough out this summer (825k x 5 yrs, -675k x 1yr) but could be dealt for someone overpaid who can play in our lineup

Will be available:
- C. Tierney - depends on his play between now and the deadline but I suspect he will be dealt for a 3rd or so
- T. Ennis - will be available for basically anything
- N. Holden - will likely be available for a 3rd or so... slim chance he is extended
- J Brown - might be available for mid/late round pick
- Z. Sanford - will likely be available, slim chance he is extended. I would expect him to return around a 4th. Would possibly be available now for a D, C, or RW.
- Dylan Gambrell - will likely be available for a late pick, slim chance he is extended.

Longshot:
- N. Zaitsev - tough trade to make but he should be made available
- N. Paul - if he can't be re-signed he will likely be moved for a 2nd +, but I think we will get something done

He has 12 points on 11 games? What is wrong with him? Problem with the coach?

One of Miller or Boeser could be made available in the foreseeable future because their contracts are up soon.

If there was a stud RD around the same age, the Canucks would have to look at it and try to find a forward to replace the guy going out elsewhere.

As for who is actually available from the Canucks - I can't think of anyone of value.

There are a handful of players who ought to be available but the GM likely won't trade them because they are "his guys".

Paul might be a nice addition to Vegas if Dadonov has to be moved for cap reasons. Dadonov back to Ottawa with a 2nd for Paul?

Not even close. Doubt we would do Dadonov + 1st, even if Paul isnt willing to extend.

I would be targetting Hague, personally. Paul is a really good player.

Buffalo: *gestures at roster* See something you want not named Dahlin or Cozens? Feel free to make an offer. Some will, of course, cost more than others.

In all reality, this is who is MOST available (IMO):

D Colin Miller -- Bottom pair guy on a good team. Booming shot. Vulnerable to brain cramping.
F Drake Caggiula -- Try hard type. Fast. Good on the PK. 13th/14th forward on a good team
C Cody Eakin -- Good on draws. Good on the PK. Fast. Limited by hockey IQ.
LW Anders Bjork -- Has another year @ 1.4 mil. Fast. Good on the PK. Stone for hands.
RW Vinnie Hinostroza -- Better version of Caggiula. Doesn't always look out of place higher in the lineup, but his decision making is head-scratching at times.
D Will Butcher -- TAKE HIM, PLEASE. Mobile Dman. Has times where he looks very solid. Then he has times where he looks like a beer-leaguer.
D Robert Hagg -- Physical. Prone to the occasional hand grenade. Has absolutely no idea what the offensive zone is or what to do when there.

MIGHT be able to let go of G Craig Anderson when we slump out of contention, if Tokarski continues to look good AND if we can get a Tokarski-level goalie back.

If Strome gets traded id take Eakin as a stop gap until Barron is ready. Dont know much about him or his value besides what you said though.

I think your idea in general is good, but I would suggest you break it down by team rather than updating it in a clustered list that has no organization to it
I do not know the players of all the teams who are in the dog house coach, or who are often scratched and or available.

Easier to name the untouchables from Detroit.

Larkin - Untouchable
Seider - Untouchable
Raymond - Untouchable.

Everything else? Available for the right price.

For the CBJ:

Definitely Available:
  • Joonas Korpisalo - Has been for a while, so this is nothing new. The goalie debate has very definitely been settled. (In spite of the wishes and preferences of one particular vocal HFCBJ regular...)
Possibly Available, Or At Least Fans Might Hope They Are:
  • Gustav Nyquist - This might be more "fan desire" rather than for-real; we need the playmaking, and he's been... enh.
  • Alexandre Texier - Is still finding his offensive game and so some fans are having Wennberg flashbacks.
  • Max Domi - Has looked really good when actually able to play, and has become a HFCBJ meme due to quick injury recovery times, but still a UFA at end-of-season that we might move at the deadline.
  • Scott Harrington - UFA and spare bottom-pairing defenseman; no real reason to keep him, unlikely to get much in any case.
  • Gabriel Carlsson - At time of writing folks are cautiously optimistic because suddenly he's got points in his last two games or something, but otherwise he's been "a big blueline prospect that hasn't quite made it yet".
  • Kevin Stenlund - Yes, he plays C, but he keeps falling down the depth chart despite some promising-looking moments. So, another reclamation prospect.
  • Emil Bemstrom - Consensus is back and forth on his availability and/or tradeability, so expect schizophrenic responses from Jackets fans if you ask.
Surprisingly Unavailable, Maybe:
  • Patrick Laine - No, really. The bounceback has (so far, anyways) been real. This status may change as the season goes on, but so far it seems like he just might be sticking around. Maybe.
People Keep Asking Us About These Guys And They Really Need To Stop It Already:
  • Boone Jenner - We just extended him and gave him the C. Yeah, he's been in rumors before, but that's done now, okay?
  • Vladislav Gavrikov - No, he was never available. No, he's not going to be available; he's our best shutdown D and likely to hold that position for a while.

Also just my opinion, but I think Kailer Yamamoto could be available as part of a package for a legit starting goaltender or 2RW.
