Excellent fn question... DJ wants to be the DJ at the Arty Party.. Look at how he's deployed him to to make his point... that's going to be something to observe.. Arty has a little success and watch out.

Dorion should waive Arty or waive White.. pick your horse ..

Arty will clear, white should clear but maybe somebody likes him.

If Zub is playing, it means either Gudbranson or Brown likely sit a game.
If Wolanin plays, like Rielly, but could be Coburn.

Those three forwards are playing if healthy.

Hey Doc
For Zub to come in someone has to come off the active roster which currently has 23.
We can't just sit an active roster player (waiver eligible) and bring in Zub.

Sorry, brother? Couple? He was real bad 2 games ago, ok last game. Zatisev has been better.

Wolanin for Reilly, Zub for Brown I'd assume(handedness).

Chabot-Gudbranson
Wolanin-Zatisev
Coburn-Zub

Reilly was bad 3 games ago. He was excellent two games ago, and he was above average last game (considering the rest of the team stunk, that's good).

Like except galchenyuk out U crazy

I'd be fine with Galchenyuk in too, maybe playing his off wing instead of White? Or instead of Watson, but I like Watson as a physical presence and a penalty killer. Galchenyk would really help the second PP unit though,

We went all in on Bobby Ryan. Doubled down with Derick Brassard. Because that wasn't enough, did it a third time with Matt Duchene. Can't let an opportunity like Dubois pass. He's exactly the type of player you go all in for.

Just like Tyler Seguin and our very own Mika Zibanejad, once in a decade opportunity to acquire a young franchise center.

Erik Brännström + Colin White/Logan Brown + Chris Tierney + unprotected 1st +

Stützle - Dubois - Dadonov
Tkachuk - Norris - Batherson
Galchenyuk - Stepan - White
Paul - Pinto - C. Brown
Chlapik/Paquette/Watson/Anisimov

Chabot - Zaitsev
Sanderson - JBD
Wolanin - J. Brown
Zub

Murray

I'm all for it if any package we give up for a player doesn't end up like Brassard or Duchene. I remember people on HF Sens criticized the package we gave up for Ryan more but it's a total bargain in comparison of the cost for Duchene or Brassard.

Brassard was 29 y/o, signed 3 more years, cost : Zibanejad (who broke out in a major way) and an early 2nd

Duchene was 27 y/o, signed 2 more years, cost : Turris, a 1st (ended up 4th OA), Shane Bowers (recent late 1st round pick and an early 3rd round pick

Ryan was 26 y/o, signed 2 more years, cost was "only" Silfverberg (decent/good 2nd liner) + 1st in a weak draft (ended up 10th OA but the Ducks kinda missed) and a broken down prospect

Ryan, even if he ended up overpaid, contributed much longer (0.58 PPG overall and that crazy playoffs run) than Brassard and Duchene. Gotta hope JBD, Thomson and/or Abramov turns into something.

In summary, seeing how Duchene and Brassard trades ended up, I'm really worried when Dorion BUYS, I feel more comfortable when he SELLS.

Ah, now I get it. Was wondering, as I was pretty sure everyone knew Zub was a D! Sitting one of those guys is problematic, unless they slide Stutzle there while he is mending.

This is what we need to do to get these coaches to come over. Haley is a Capuano guy from way back. Maybe a friend now?
Easy for our brainless GM..he just asks which scrubs to add.
We were told the plan was to play young players. Looks like the coaches are getting in the way of that.
Dorion has no balls so the coaches rule here.

Paul - Thierney - Brown should stay together...they could be one of the best matchup line in the north division.

I'd waive Anisimov before Galchenyuk.. would be the smartest move for Dorion .. so probably Galchenyuk you are right
Ottawa could waive Stepan, Paquette, Anisimov, Haley, Peca & Coburn & nobody n the NHL would notice or care. How much do you think any of these vets get Ottawa by the trade deadline where they MIGHT be slightly more valuable than they have been so far here? Dadonov, White & Galencheyuk have struggled as well so far, hopefully, Galchenyuk is not re-signed either. Six or seven passengers per game on the same team so far this yr would hurt any team.

At least White needs more ice time .. He has no confidence and he is under the microscope where his mistakes are magnified .. The only way I know to fix that is to play through it. he needs some rope. Same with Wolanin. I am not advocating getting rid of all the vets I think one or two would work

Do coaches regularly break up their best line just becuase it’s a road game

It depends on your lineup and your teams strength. Toronto in Ottawa sorta just throws Matthew’s / JT line on a lot on the road in any situation and let’s Ottawa match with Tierney/Arti all night. I haven’t seen DJ use Brady’s line like that but we will see tonight. Watch for it. I’d love to see DJ double shift the kids (boost their ice time) a bit and see how WPG responds .

Time to let the kids play. Insulate them with w couple of veterans but if we are going to lose games, I would rather be entertained at the same time. Sending Logan Brown and Erik Brannstrom down to the AHL that is not even running right now is very odd. Dorion needs to figure his business out soon and make some move to clear the dead weight.

Tkachuk- Norris - Batherson
Paul- L. Brown- Dadonov
Stützle- Tierney- C. Brown
Galchenyuk- White- Watson

Chabot-Zaitsev
Brannstrom-Gudbranson
Wolanin- Brown

I can’t believe they did themselves like this. If we had more young players that are waiver elegible we could have a legit rotation and in-season competition going.
