This game had no business going to OT. Hopefully we get the 2nd point and this game prompts management to make a change to our goaltending.
As I have said to Spawn before the differential in shots for compared to against for the Oilers is completely deceiving. The Oilers shots are high danger whereas the oilers give up a breakaway with just iver 2 minutes left. The Oilers always make the other goalie look great....tonight again...a waiver wire pickup looks like a star. So many of their shots are pucks that just rill into the goalie because they pass it and pass it and try to take it in the corner pocket. Not sure how so many don't see this. It is not a coincidence that the oilers almost outshoot their opponent but can't get over 2 goals

Funny how every goalie Oilers play becomes hasek...

Maybe its because oilers are shit at shooting the puck

Wedgewood made like at least five 5-bell saves, he robbed McDavid a couple of times alone.

Every goalie gets up to play McDavid and plays with a stick up their ass, it is what it is.

We weren't just shooting muffins from the point at the guy all night that's bullshit.

Skinner should f***ing take notes too on how in position Wedgwood was for that Draisaitl 1-timer on the PP, he obviously read the scouting report and there was nothing for Leon to shoot at even though it was perfectly executed. That's an auto goal on Skinner, no chance he would get across to make that save.

For a few years now lol

The only good start we've had in 5 seasons is the one year Mike Smith was in net and healthy to start the year.

Goaltending matters.

20-21: Koskinen was the starter (Smith hurt) 3-6 start terrible
21-22: Smith is the starter, 15-5 start. Great start.
22-23: Campbell/Skinner, mediocre 10-10 start
23-24: Skinner/Campbell, disaster start, 2-9-1 as everyone knows
24-25: Skinner/Pickard, mediocre start, 9-7-1

Smith is the only legit guy who's a real starter.

Wedgewood has been a solid back-up for awhile now. I'd take him over Pickard at minimum.

That 15-5 start was on the back of Koskinen, not Smith. Smith was injured (like he frequently was).
