The latter I think yes. The former…there are some circles who believe Peca has no interest in the organization anymore. According to some reporters on their various podcasts He had to beg them for the Amerks job in the first place and then Don didn’t want him on the bench or he’d have been on the bench. But then other reporters brought it up as something they’d try to do…so who knows.

That's why I am not shocked at all that Lindy was the guy Adams was talking about.

Veteran coach. Available. And Adams has a track record with him.

Not sure I'm too excited here. I heard a couple other candidates told Adams they weren't interested - don't know that he interviewed them or just spoke to them...

So there is a sense of desperation here I think, or I feel.

That being said, I hope he's successful.

And please bring in some competent assistants....

Not shocked that Adams - a former Ruff assistant - was clear with wanting him back as the HC.

I like this hire. When Ruff has decent goaltending, his teams do well. If UPL and Levi can be average next year, this team is in the playoffs.

I personally hate how clear it is that a true search wasn't done to find the best candidate. Not saying Lindy isn't that, but they clearly just called him, asked him to come back and wiped their hands. This feels like a PR choice and not the best choice. Hopefully I'm dead f***ing wrong.
