There was no need for a search. He checks all the boxes. There were a couple others but if Lindy wanted the job then hire him.

This feels right. Lindy was hired as coach the year I started kindergarten and wasn’t fired until I was in college. He was the only coach I ever associated with the Sabres to that point, and certainly the only good one we’ve had as long as I’ve been sentient. I was happy when they let him go and in retrospect, probably should have more sad than anything. You don’t know what you have until it’s gone.

Hopefully we never have to let him go again and he can retire having won a few Cups here.

The Pegulas hired Adams because he does what they say and is loyal to the family.

I think in, all practicality, we have Coach/GM Lindy Ruff.

I'm not sure if that is better or worse.
