Wow Regier went into the season banking on the F-E-S line. I'm shocked he could be that stupid. Pretty sure myself, joshjull, chainshot among others said how that could end up.

As I recall, there were a lot of posts / threads on this MB last summer doing the same thing - some even wondering how many points and goals they'd total as if they'd stick together all season.

Personally, of the 3, Foligno is the only one who's been less than I expected. Stafford has been a no-show his entire career minus one half of a season, and Ennis isn't a # 1/ #2 NHL center.

kevin porter, come on down, you're the next contestant on the Matt Ellis Role

Nobody can replace the Matt Ellis.

Darcy's pissed at the players for letting this happening. Darcy cries soon.

and there were those of us who recognized that relying on them in a bigger role would be a mistake... and that their offensive production was masked by the fact that they had a vanek and a pominville line doing the heavy lifting in front of them

Regier literally crying right now.No way Darcy was the one who decided to fire him, he must have been told by Terry+Ted to fire Lindy or your gone.Hopefully Rolston is actually good with the media and actually answer questions/have a good press conference instead of Lindy where he answers two questions after a bad loss and then leaves.

Likey it was hinted he'd be fired or he heard rumours. or it was just so obvious he had to go. it wasn't soley ruffs fault, but it was the fact nobody wanted to listen to him anymore.

Ridiculous post. First off, he isn't "literally crying". Second, he straight up said it was his decision and your crazy assumptions are no basis for doubting that. Are you saying he couldn't be sad about firing Ruff if it was his own decision? :shakehead

Choked up? Yes. Full on crying? No. You see the wrong things so so so much it's scary.

Assuming what Terry told Darcy is beneath you. Just stop.

Regier holding back tears talking about Ruff and the team.

Aside from their long NHL tenure together, let's not forget that they were the best man at each other's weddings. I'm sure they each see the other as a brother - which is why the notion that one would never leave without the other was hard to anticipate happening.

Kevin porter en route

Porter in for Cody, let's see how he does.

Makes perfect sense: Porter's play this year was reported as being a real leader and character for his teammates, which Rolston saw. Along with bringing up a player familiar with his coaching style to help the transition to Rolston, the points Ruff made this morning about McCormick being too similar to Scott/Kaleta/Ott and that the 4th line has generated no scoring chances, Porter should help there.

Not sure how he's done on faceoffs but bringing in another center can't hurt either...
