Lindy Ruff has been fired

Lindy's hubris has led to this humbling exit. He shoud have realized, along with Regier that, that he was not able to handle the job anymore--at least here. Then a classier exit from coaching would have been orchestrated. Please hire a coach with NHL experience and give him a short term contract with a chqance to prove himself. Moving someone used to dealing with teenagers who have no clout and need the coach to get ice time to get drafted to a coaching position with adults who have guaranteed contracts is risky....

If this was his sole decision, good on him for stepping up. He seems to be pointing to clear dissatisfaction with Lindy.
