If Panarin isn’t injured, management needs to have a serious discussion with him. Asshole came to camp in terrible shape, took half the season to round into form, and now looks like he’s either hurt or gassed. Dude gets paid $3M more than anyone else on the team to come here in shit shape. f***ing clown. At least he’s playing better than the Carolina series, but this is f***ing bullshit.
He was probably the best player on the ice tonight and had like 70+ assists the year.

Damn.

Sort of similar to what happened to my cat. 15 years old. Cancer. He still was eating, walking around, wanting to be petted and getting on the couch. But by Tuesday, he was completely out of it. Just laying under the table and just drinking water.
Yes, Extremely similar.

I don’t like to be this guy because it’s obviously not on him but we need more from Igor. Goals not being his fault isn’t a good enough reason for them to go in. He’s our best player, we need him to stop at least one of those goals, simply put. Idk how but you need to find a way to stop one of them.

I feel like this is a game that once we go up 1-0 with Lundqvist we win this game 1-0 or 2-0 with an empty netter. He never had goal support so he would just go savage mode and simply decide he want getting beat. Igor has gotten plenty of goal support all playoffs up until this point. We need him to lock it down and pitch a shutout. Vasy made a bunch of saves that could’ve been goals, we need that from Igor.

I'm reminded of Game 7 against the Caps, where we were leading that series 3-1, they came back to tie it, score was 1-1, until an over the hill Fedorov scored the GWG.

There was nothing Henrik could have done.

This loss is worse because we have a Zib, Panarin, and playoff vet in Kreider.

Going to be tough to win with the bouncing blue ball instead of the puck in Tampa but they've been coming back all season. They can do it again.

I could say a lot of things that some would agree with and others would argue with me. I don't have time for that. F* it. Let's go into Tampa and beat them. Being it back home for a game 7 and let's see what happens.

We can score goals (allegedly) and we know Shesty can slam the door....

Still believe in this team

Ryan Strome, you worthless POS. I hope that missed opportunity haunts your sleep and when your shoveling 18 inches of snow every week in Buffalo next year for 2.8 million because that’s the only team that will sign you you’ll remember the first thing you were taught in hockey is KEEP YOUR STICK ON THE ICE!
What in the hell?

These outcomes are kind of what I mean when I say, as a rebuttal to those who claim “anything can happen” and “look at Montreal last year”, that we just aren’t good enough and 5v5 teams this bad do not win Cups. You can win a series. Maybe two. But the cream eventually rises to the top through four series’, and it’s just rare to win four straight when you aren’t one of the league’s elite teams.

We have emptied the tank and it was a fun ride and we can debate whether the expenditures were worth it for the experience but at the end of the day this is why I did not want to go all in at this deadline. We have ridden this as far as it will go most likely.

Tampa is better than us and so is Colorado.

Underdogs rarely win Cups. You know who does? Tampa, again and again. Or Colorado, with overwhelming talent.

We still have some building to do. Gotta get lucky. Need Kravtsov and Othmann in here to hit, need Kakko, Chytil and Laf to keep developing into stars, need the young defensemen to graduate Hartford, and need another young center or two.

That being said I hope I’m wrong and they win 6 more games this year.

Exactly this.

Not really. One second left, it's pushed to the corner, and Kucherov wants to be an ass and fire it at the net from a stupid angle. It was blocked by Fox, they took cross checks from each other, and then everyone jumped in.

Lindgren was bleeding after getting tackled to the ice and punched, and Stamkos was roughing up Laf.
Typical Kuch. Not Lindros dirty or Pronger dirty. More like sneaky weasel dirty.

Not singling it out per se but the game management practiced by the officials of this league is so indefensible. Makes me really wonder why I invest so much time in this sport when the refs extract so much influence over the outcomes of playoff games by refusing to call the rulebook.
1000000%
It's ridiculous. The worst part about our sport.
The flip side is you just know we are going to be getting some soft calls in our favor during game 6 so the refs can push it to a game 7

I don't even wanna kill Kreider but could have done a bit better on getting that puck deep and not let Sergachev completely stop him in his tracks?

Brutal.

Couldn't score when they needed.

Over passing and sticking to the boards.

Refs sucked too but what can you do. Need to overcome and they couldn't.

Game 3 is the worst of it. You can't back off on a 2-0 lead. We went from a stranglehold on the series to one loss away from a reverse sweep.
True I’ve been to both games in Tampa and that Game3 third period when we came out flat and apathetic right at the point we needed to go for the jugular was the turning point in this series
