Seeing how nice everyone is on NJTransit to fans with different jerseys is the one thing that keeps me from really hating the Devils at all

I went to the infamous first playoff game after the dark ages in CAA that we lost 6-1 and had an obnoxious Devils fan yelling at us all game. So not my experience.

I know most Flyers fans aren't assaulting people either but this was one guy how does that reflect on the entire fanbase?
Obviously it doesn't reflect the entire fanbase. But it's enough to say our fanbase has these people which we previously could have deluded ourselves that they didn't exist. Like the assault at the Winter Classic was disgusting and this was disgusting too. The fact that you would acknowledge Flyer fans as goonish while still understanding it's not the entire fanbase --- apply that to how other fanbases look at the Ranger fans. Just as easily, they can make those conclusions. It's the perception I'm disappointed in, not the reality. New Yorkers know they are some of the best people in the world. We just get annoyed and loud when people come to our house and don't observe the house rules.

What a disgusting coward that guy is. Cheapshotting someone completely unprovoked and takes off like a little rat. Fighting over sports to begin with is beyond dumb, but risking killing someone is a completely different type of shitty behavior that needs to see consequences. Landing with the back of your head on concrete from that height can very much leave you with permanent health issues, or at the worst kill you.

The headline should not be "Fight at MSG" - It should be "Violent Assault at MSG". Only one party is an active agressor here.

And obviously, ban him from MSG for life.
He was already banned for life and will very likely land in prison. The moron spent $500 to see a loss and then couldn't contain himself and has completely destroyed his life. He also assaulted the good Samaritan Rangers fan who instantly came to the victim's defense. Unfortunately, this behavior is not uncommon in today's society. More and more I find people getting frustrated rather easily or over non-sensical things. Every time I go out on the road these days, feels like someone ends up with road rage because I'm driving to slow and either illegally goes around me or just honks and flashes until they can pass. Lots of clear mental health issues possibly exacerbated by the pandemic, but god knows. Another sad incident here which was unfortunate for the victim and will now be a black eye on our fanbase.

Nah, this was a black eye on the perpetrator and not Rangers fans overall. Unfortunately there are people like that everywhere.

So what I got from this post is that you need to stop driving slow.
