As I said in the GDT, proud of this team to get this far. I’m tired of the Kakko defending, Kid will be 22 yo next season, and is entering bust territory. Is there time for him to still turn it around? Of course, but not looking good.

Also, need to move on from Strome, don’t care if he was injured or not, he is not the 2C answer.

He’s a bum who can’t get it done when it matters.

Much better ways to spend 12 million then panarin’s dumb ass:
He will put up close to 100 points if not more next year. Problem is the playoffs may be much of the same. That is the trade off I guess. We won't be able to rely on him to play at the same level as the regular season when space is limited.
In his defense tho (And I haven't defended him at all these playoffs) his linemates were just as bad if not worse.

There is one single player making 4.5M per year to be carried by a top 10 player in the league. That player wants a raise. That player had the same number of 5v5 playoff points as Ryan Lindgren. That player had a worse playoff xGF% than Ryan Reaves. That player had 3 primary points on the 2nd most scoring opportunities on this team. That player cannot be re-signed under any circumstances whatsoever. Ryan Strome needs to go.

Full meltdown mode I see lol. Kakko will be back.

Kid line opened a lot of peoples eyes
You don’t see an issue with having multiple top picks thrown to the wind as if they were gum wrappers ? Which the benching will most likely be the finishing touches on Kakko out the door.

If anyone caught the post-game on MSG, Vally said something to the effect of Drury now knows the players that get the team *to* the playoffs and players who could get the team *through* the playoffs.

And I’m tired of the Kakko bashing. Lias, Kravtsov, Kakko (soon Lundkvist) its hilarious how little patience you guys have. 22 lmfao

Panarin is maybe the most muscular player on our team lol, Kakko is just fat and soft as a marshmallow
Place Kakko's head here...

Also, I'm sorry, but Breadman at least was doing something with the puck. Again, outside of the PP, Zibs was unnoticeable.

And Kreider...enough said.

I was encouraged by Drury's first deadline.

Gallant got a boner for Vatrano and Copp f***ed up his leg, but the pickups he made were exactly what we needed.

He's not going to just let Gallant blow up the roster. Gallant's teams win hockey games pretty f***ing consistently but he never sticks around. We're beginning to see why.

Lafreniere isn't going anywhere.

Put Ryan Reaves, Ryan Lindgren, and Ryan Strome in a metal cage death match but give Lindgren a katana and a pistol.

The good news is, we know which players to get rid of and we have a few of them. Have to trust Drury to make it work with the cap with have. Addition by subtraction and hopefully a few extra new young players are ready next year.
