If KK will no longer be a Ranger next season...shit, then I want this franchise to package him along with other players for a bonafide center.

What do you think Kaapo, Kreider, and a 3rd could fetch us?

Shit, now I'm eyeing Seguin.

Not having Crappo didn't cost us the series lol what are you talking about?
Sorry I meant Gallants decision playing an( i cant put the puck in an empty net) injured strome .I dont love Crappo either But would have rather had him in

Great Season with an unfortunate end.

We ran out of gas. After Game 2 Tampa trapped. The coaches/team did nothing to adjust.

We were soft and easy to play against. You can argue we were tired but it's been the same thing all season.

It's a great building block. It's year 1 of our window. I'm hopeful Drury makes the right moves....

The focus should be promoting Laffy to the top lines and top PP unit. I have no clue what will happen with Kakko.

Playing Rooney.... and Playing Strome over Kakko is about as bad as it gets. If this was year 2 or 3, Gallant is likely fired.

Coaching needs to be better next season. 5v5 was atrocious. Puck support was atrocious. Puck movement was poor. Getting to the middle of the ice was never a thought... as well as shooting. There needs to be a DYNAMIC CHANGE in philosophy. There needs to be more structure.
Good luck with that. I've seen nothing to indicate there is a whiff of creativity or any interest in dynamic hockey. It will be more old school, more busy looking vets to play with Panarin, no real fit for Laffy etc. More of what we've seen so far in other words.

I had hope the Rangers would create something interesting with the youth and opportunity they have, but that's gone now with the dinosaurs in charge.

He's the best ranger forward at everything but scoring points. If you don't think that's worthy of a top Six spot I encourage you to look at our current roster, what they're good at, bad at, and it's results.

Do you guys hear yourselves.

We just fell 2 games short of going to the Stanley cup and Kakko is our best forward at everything… except scoring points. So therefore also not shooting, passing, certainly not skating, not penalty killing (since he never does that), etc. what’s he best at… giving you a few hopeful stick handles and twirls in the corner before doing nothing?

God. The kid is promising. He’s also NOT special. That much is clear. Nothing can ever be level headed around here. He is a solid but unspectacular young player who people have attached extraordinary hopes to, rightfully due to his draft position, but which has fallen short of for three straight years.

Meanwhile people are genuinely acting as if his being scratched in one elimination game is the same offense that leaving Roy in for all 9 goals was and this kid could virtually sue us for defamation at this point if some of you were concerned.

Kakko isn’t family. He isn’t your best friend. He’s a kid who has shown some promise and, it stands to reason, has more potential than what he’s given us so far but is, genuinely, extraordinary only in how how average he is. The visceral reaction here is not rational.

I feel weird saying this since it’s year 1 and they got to the ECF, which no one expected, but good god gallant is an absolutely awful coach. What a complete dunce.

At the end of the day Strome is one who goes to the coach after his warmup and says whether or not he can play hard and play a full game. Not only did he play soft as shit and coast, but he couldn't even make it a full game. Give him a greyhound bus back to new york

Sunnnnnshineeeeee on my shoulderssssss makes meeeee hope I never see Ryan Strome in a Rangers sweater ever again.

Positives:
Shesty
Miika
Them kids. Miller especially. This kid is a f***ing stud.
Trouba

Eh:
Kreider
Frankie Meatballs
Copp (No way was he healthy this whole times)
Motte - I like him.

Bad:
Everyone else.
f*** Strome.

We're on the right track, but there's a lot to do still. We need big game players, not regular season players. Still, I think losing itself is a learning tool. Maybe they needed to loose a heartbreaker.

Alternate universe: Kakko had a hattrick.

Best takeaway from the playoffs for me is Lafreniere. If he plays 82 next season the way he played in the playoffs he'll be a 60 point guy next year.

I don't want to trade Kakko because I don't think he has much value vs what he could be. I'd bridge him cheap and hope he can out perform his deal and take it from there. However, if he is a piece in a deal for a star, it would not shock me if he were the headline piece in a deal for Patrick Kane if he becomes available.
