I've wanted Timo on this team for years, we finally have him and I can say he's been underwhelming but I'm not bothered by it at all. He seems like someone who will just step up huge when needed and just keep riding that wave.

I get there’s a learning curve and longterm I’m sure he will be fine…but let’s be honest with ourselves….he’s been substandard at best and that’s putting it VERY nicely.

I don't think there's anything wrong with saying it how it is right now, but that'll ruffle some feathers with certain people on here if you say anything negative about any non-plug.

I'd argue Meier has been the least impactful forward in our top 9 since he's been here. He's definitely going through an adjustment period but him and Hughes have legitimately 0 chemistry and I would honestly say his poor play has been dragging Hughes down a bit. The amount of times I have seen him run right into Hughes as he's carrying the puck or retrieving the puck is insane. He needs to drive his own line and I want to see Haula-Hughes-Bratt back together. Put Meier on the third line and roll three highly dangerous lines, don't see much wrong with that.

Def doable now that I exhaled after initially saying that goal was game over because of how deflating (not saying that won’t end up being the case). But it ain’t gonna be easy getting another past Vasi and will take a helluva lot better effort than they showed trailing the other night.

Come on now people…. Do you honestly think Meier just forgot how to play hockey or his skill leaked out of him when he was traded? Or could it maybe be a 26 year old moving across the country , leaving what was his hime for his entire life , trying to learn a new system , new line mates , pressure to perform, May need some time to get going ? No matter what we did at the TDL , people would have been mad. If we didn’t add Meier - people would complain we sat on our hands and didn’t take advantage of adding an elite player to one of our best overall seasons all time . Adding Meier was 100% the right move.
