We’re just teaching Henrik all the swear words and to be immune to sudden loud outburst from an early age. Which will help with unrelated swear words and loud noises heard from locked rooms at a later age.

Up until that last few minutes Tampa looked like they wanted to revisit and extend the time off.
Hope our boys can close it out so they can return to their vacation.

Sweeping anyone is really hard. They're really good in their building too.

But I felt like Tampa NEEDED these early games. The 9 days of rest only helps if you can parlay that into wins and even more rest with all the hockey they've played.

Even if they push this series beyond 5, that tank is going to hit E really quick.

Kid's line gets my vote again. Every time they are on the ice, they are either defending well, or wreaking havoc in the other end. They have made GIANT steps. My god, I would have traded Chytil for a bag of pucks half way through the season. Now he's absolutely won me over. I don't care if he scores five goals in the regular season as long as we get this version of him when it matters from here on out.

Fox was looking Foxy again. Miller just keeps getting better and better. Shesty is basically god. Mika looks to be 100% finally. Man he's been good. It's There's just so many positives, and I don't even think we're playing to our full potential. Turk got f***ing ROBBED for the Jack Adams. This man is a miracle worker. Though I'd reaaaaaaaally like to see the kids get more ice time. They've earned it.

There's also negatives, though. Panarin is literally painful to watch 95% of the time. SO many dumb giveaways. No effort to backcheck. Kinda done with his shit, tbh. We're almost playing down a man when he's on the ice because of how defensively irresponsible he is. Honestly, I'd be fine trading him for some really promising younger players at this point.

Schneider needs to learn that you can't take 3-5 second to let a pass go. He gets dispossessed far too often. Still, he's young and learning the ropes, so he gets a pass for now.

I think winning the next game will utterly deflate Tampa. I know every game has been "the most important game", but this next one REALLY is.

I don’t know of another player in the league that has the ability to make these plays. We’ve seen Fox do this now multiple times: keep in at the blueline, advance the puck below the hash marks with a slick move or two, and then either look off or just plain wait out the defense until a lane opens and BAM!

It’s incredible to witness. Mess giving him Leetch props is very fitting.

My poor dog literally experiences the same stress I do. She will just stare at me all game long, viscerally feeling my tension. Eventually she will sidle up next to me, shaking like it’s the end of the world.

I’ll throw her a few more frisbees tomorrow. She’s earned it.
