Agree. I'd say this is our biggest weakness as a team. Next season plugging Jones in full time will help. Miller is the only D that has the legs and mindset to be able to carry it out. Jones' strength is transition.

I believe we can overcome this weakness in these playoffs and address it over the summer.
Maybe it's Jones. Maybe it's Robertson.

Here's a little ditty about Braden and Matt. Two Canadian kids from the heartland...

Holy f*** yeah the Panthers board is a great read. The tone change from the afternoon to about 8:19 pm EST is f***ing delicious

I kinda feel bad for them. But this is why it’s critical to rebuild the right way. They have no 1st or 2nd round picks for the next 3 years. So will be very hard to improve their current roster. It’s cup or bust now for them. Sadly looking more towards bust.

I don’t want to see Tampa winning again thought they could take care of them but now it’s up to us. I think a lot of outside fans rooting for the Rangers because Tampa has become very arrogant , players and their fans.

For prosperity

Tell me the rest of the guys on the bench don't get high off this

Well they did.

Huberdau and Barkov are legit stars and they have a fantastic supporting cast of players. I think they've gotten a little unlucky with Ekblad (tons of injuries in his career have derailed what was supposed to be a sure fire #1 D) and I'm a little bit uh... Confused with how they've decided to spend some of their money (that Bob contract right after drafting Spencer Knight as high as they did?) Spending the draft capital isn't a huge issue, if you aren't going to go for it now, then when?

The issue for them is that their stars haven't shown up enough. How much of that is coaching? Some of it for sure (I get trying to play to your strengths, but when they're completely stripped away from you trying to force the issue isn't going to work.) They've got a great team, they just need to make some adjustments.

The difference between the Rangers and them is really SOME of our best players have shown up and we haven't gone 1-for-eternity on the PP. Hell our PP won us the Carolina series (along with Igor being great.)

Funny enough, I think Tampa has gotten LESS arrogant since winning (more accurately, since they got swept in 2019.) Nothing compared to the way Avs fans currently are.

Both Avs and Oilers fans are cheering for us and thinking we will be an easy out for them. I see TBL fans actually giving us respect.

I wonder how much not having Joel Quenneville contributed to that.

They still need to win, for the rebuild to be successful of course. Getting swept in the 2nd round is not a good direction after winning the president’s trophy, and yeah agree have been unlucky with injuries and they still have a very good team, but will be hard to make adjustments with no picks to trade for upgrades, that is what I was getting at. Also, do you think Bob is the one that can really lead them to a cup?

Stammer was very noticably frustrated and even got pissy with a couple of reporters. Kuch was visibly frustrated the entire game as well. Not sure if that showed on TV but his body language told the whole story. I am wondering what it is like in that locker room. Those are all good signs for the Rangers. Need to keep it going.

Still probably trying to catch his breath after "the shift."

Ever tried to have a conversation when you're completely sucking wind? I'd be pissed too.

I just want to provide some reality to all of us here, because we're feeling so good right now. It is time to come back down to earth and I hope the Rangers are coming back down as well. This Tampa team is a veteran team that knows how to win. They know how to shift momentum in a series. They know our weaknesses and they WILL start to expose them and take advantage. It's a fact. IF and I mean IF we win this series, it will be by an inch, not a mile. Game 2 is going to separate the men from the boys. LFGR.
Enough back slapping...lets watch some video...and do some suicide skates

Sometimes Dynasties can crash suddenly ...I'll give the slight edge to the bolts on D(ever so slight)...our 12 forwards against there 11 forwards without Brayden and Gourde we have a big advantage...

Still chuckling that they went and got a 34-yr-old Giroux and rented him for 2 rounds.
