And with Fogarty now up, the quality of the 4th line is starting to be better, hopefully Zucc can comeback and push someone else down to the 4th line and McLeod out of the lineup

I actually don’t mind McL. Sure, he doesn’t contribute offensively, but he’s visible and doesn’t make mistakes (at least I haven’t seen any). That’s more than we can say for some of our other skaters.

I think he’s worse than that, I don’t think he’s been on for a goal for yet this season

Reminds me of the year that Tanner Glass had been on the ice for a single goal right up until February or something.

We had more shorties than goals with Glass on the ice. He was literally offensively worse than not having the fifth guy on the ice . McLeod is in the same realm.

edit - no, that's not fair. McLeod isn't that bad. But he is in the same mold.

I am flying to Tampa in 2 weeks to see the Rangers game there. I hope Lias will still be on the team by then because it would mean the 8th city where I attend a game he plays in.

- 26th of August: CHL against KAC in Klagenfurt
- 2nd of September: CHL against ZSC in Zurich
- 14th of October: SHL against Linköping HC in Linköping
- 31st of October: CHL against Bili Tygri in Liberec
- 28th of December: WJC against Czech Republic in Buffalo
- 21st of April: EHT against Czech Republic in Pardubice
- 13th of May: WC against Switzerland in Copenhagen

I really hope he plays in Tampa and I can get a photo taken with him. That's still missing

AK, you are already a legend but if you bring a silver medal with you and throw it at him, I will name my 3rd adopted child after you.

I could wear a gold medal on top of my Lias Sweden jersey to commemorate him winning the WC 4 months after tossing the silver medal.

If I throw a silver medal at him, it has to be a chocolate one hahahaha. Don't want to injure him

I know the numbers aren’t there yet but seems Lias playing much more, and more effectively. Hear his name a good bit and generally doing good things. Also saw some slick skating. I don’t really care about speed skating, anyhow. Speed thinking is much more important in my eyes. But Lias’ skating seems fine too.

Yeah he flubbed that chance in close but I agree this a very good game by him. Amazing what starts to happen when you give some better line mates and he's adjusted to the pace of the game.

Looks like somehow he's developed a rep with the refs already because there have been a few games now where they just ignore blatant penalties against him

He looks a step behind every game.
I know people are down on him but I just don’t see him being a step behind. I think his skating is noticeably improved from last year and he’s adjsuting to all aspects of the nhl game. I think he’s looked better and better each game and it will click at some point.

I don’t know what so many (not you just expanding on a thought) are so down on him. All over HF and Facebook and Twitter are people seriously saying he’s a bust and not going to be anything more than a 3rd liner at best. Just because he’s not a dynamic skater doesn’t mean he’s not going to be a damn good player.

I haven't been crazy about him, but it's still early. I think he'll be a solid player. I wish I saw one or two things that he clearly excels at.

It didn't help that the Rangers pumped him up right out of the draft as being close to ready. I think their comments led many to expect too much too soon.

I actually like Lias a lot. He has a lot of promising qualities. But he still just seems a step behind, not just from a skating standpoint. I mean he isnt quick but he is just seems behind on plays. Its probably the adjustment period that is still going on. I dont care that he didnt score on that chance he had today. He will score eventually

He just keeps proving he was massively overdrafted. Looks like a 2nd round talent at best out there. Hasn't got a single skill that he excels at. Is just there. Definitely should have done better with that pick. It doesn't fill me with confidence because how much better can this guy really be than maybe a 40 pt player since he lacks elite skills in any aspect of his game. For starters he is not looking like he is gonna be better than Stepan to begin with.
