Adding to this:
i still see him as a more skilled stepan, which personally id be very happy with
edit: to add some more detail to my post....i think hes going to be a consistent 60-65 point player who in a good year can put up 70 when this team really gets cranking again
I'd really like to see Quinn put Lias into some offensive situations more, see if we can get his confidence growing and get into a groove. He has a lot of potential offensively but right now it seems like he's just worried about playing smart and not making mistakes.
Could try him on the wing: Kreider - Zibanejad - Lias would be interesting. Ziba and Lias had chemistry in the WC.
Maybe slot him into Hayes' spot when he's gone? Maybe pair him with Chytil and anchor them with Fast?
Idk what the answer is, just that I'd like to see him get some more chances playing up the lineup. Howden was given tons of chances with good linemates and offensive usage even well after he started to look like a high schooler out there.
I'd like to see him get extended time at Center. Even more so, once Hayes leaves. Hopefully he shows something..
Kreider - Zibs -Buchnevich
Vesey - Andersson - Chytil
Names - Strome - Fast
Brickley - Boo - LOL
Rangers aren’t exactly a much better environment rn lol
If Andersson can pop in 60 points, along with some mental toughness and relentlessness, I'll happily take it.
That's what I've expected from his ceiling and what I continue to hope for.

right now i cannot see LA as a 60 point guy. does the road, not likely either.
with pp time- where i think hell do well, he can get to 20-25 goal perhaps but thats tops the way i see it.
his shot is underrated and actually very good but his strengths seem to be more towards the 3C role right now so i believe thats where he slots now and down the road. hes got all those intangibles that make him perfect for that gritty, matchup defensive C spot with all the prime time minutes like last 2 mins of a close game, d zone face-offs and PK1 his calling card.
that spot and those minutes just wont translate into 60 points with out alot of PP1 time.
I think your criminally underrating a player who has been one of the better players on every team he’s ever played for. He was also one of the best players at his last wjc. I’m not counting him out of being a 60 point playerright now i cannot see LA as a 60 point guy. does the road, not likely either.

That's because Lias was picked in the Top 10, duh. Of course he's done developing.Every 20-year old is still developing, except for Lias, apparently
The problem is in today’s nhl players are becoming stars at a young age. This means lias is being compared to players who at 20 were already putting up 70 points. It’s a ridiculous way to thinkEvery 20-year old is still developing, except for Lias, apparently
LA is going to be a very good player. hes got all the intangibles to be so.
i just dont see the scoring upside.
i see him as being a player that does those things that good teams need to win games but doesn't necessarily show up on a score sheet. hes driven and a natural leader.
hes going to be an important player and will ultimately wear a letter one day.
70 points ?? not likely. 6o ? maybe
Contributing to 22% of Hartford's goals when playing at the age of 20 is actually quite impressive.
agreed.
i just dont see his scoring upside in the nhl in the 60 point range
if he gets to the 50's ill be satisfied.
