I blame her.
Because she redirected his blood flow to the wrong head? Would explain poor judgments.
I blame her.
It’s absolutely ironic man, the world is now connected and you can reach anyone in a split second, yet people are so isolated.Oh, agreed. And the irony of the name "social media" isn't lost on me![]()
Think about this too. In the 3 years he’s played here. Not once. Not once did you see Lias Andersson beat a goalie with a shot clean.
It’s the smart phone generation imo. Take a look, they’re all anti social and on their phones but don’t connect with each other.

They didn't, really. Forwards usually glide a second or two before taking a shot on a breakaway like that. You're seeing Vatanen's stick sticking way out but neither him nor Hishier caught him.I find the preseason goal interesting.....amazing how the defenders caught up to him by the time he took the shot.
Preseason or not, Andersson strips the puck from Hall, skates in and beats NHL superstar Kinkaid with a clean shot.yeah I mean none of these qualify and beating a goalie clean with a shot.
First one is a nice deke on a pass to the slot
the second is a lay up in front which I said we’ve seen.
the third is a preseason breakaway goal lol. when everyone stopped skating.
kids claim to fame is a preseason goal a medal toss and falling on his face during player intros
I know, I was just messing with Kovalev. I actually wondered the same thing when I read his post and youtubed some of Andersson's goals out of curiosity. I can agree with him too. While a couple of those were nice, I mean he has 3 NHL goals in his brief 66 game career...and those plays are more 'finishing' in tight on the goalie rather than 'beating a goalie clean' with a shot from any kind of distance so I tend to agree with that poster.

Yes. She's ridiculously hot, even though I prefer brunettes's personally.Because she redirected his blood flow to the wrong head? Would explain poor judgments.
Interesting in the Carp article he blames Quinn...
So everyone is vilifying this kid, and I'm not excusing bad behavior, but what went so wrong that both him and his agent saw no other solution?
I see a pig headed coach with something to prove, as another culprit.
He sent down Chytil, Kratsov left, now Andersen?
A year ago when I questioned why Lias was sent down, I was pointed to Scheifele.... now the kids a bum after the BS "chance" he was given?
Remember, this organization is only having some success so far this season, largely on the money they've spent on Panarin, Ziba, and goaltending. Not much in the development department.
This coach is just as unproven as Lias and the rest of this organization in the area of player development.
If this kid is so deficient in talent why did Gordie believe in him? And why is an organization that is "rebuilding " treating young players like this?
It's not just Lias here....
I am frustrated and disappointed with all parties involved.
I am frustrated that we did not pick a better prospect at 7. I am frustrated that David Quinn did not deploy Andersson with better teammates or give him a better opportunity to succeed. Last, but certainly not least, the way Lias has handled himself against adversity.
Think about this too. In the 3 years he’s played here. Not once. Not once did you see Lias Andersson beat a goalie with a shot clean. He’s had a couple go off him or tap in one or two in front but not once the entire time did the kid get the puck and fire a shot by a goalie who saw it coming. That’s really hard to do. Now that we know his character is **** and that medal toss was more him being a brat than anything I’m not quite sure what exactly he does well enough to be a pro hockey player in North America.
as I mentioned, why is it so bad to send down a 20 year old kid?why is that now verboten?
Miller, Krieder, Callahan, Dubinsky, probably more that I’m not thinking off the top of my head all spent time in the AHL in their 20s. Suddenly though now 20 year olds have to go directly to the NHL?
my complaint is again that I think Quinn did favor Howden too much and he also should have spent time in the AHL, but that players were sent down at all isn’t a bad thing.
This one is easy.
The kids drafted by the NYR Quinn is supposed to develop are far ahead of him tactically.... no wonder the kids get frustrated.
Yes, you have to be strong along the boards in the NHL and yes you have to crash the net and show up at the far post, but there is a hell of a lot more to hockey than that.
Quinn's 3 zone and puck possession hockey is primitive.
Lias was described as a very coachable player by his Swedish coaches. How is a kid like that, that looks to be methodical and responsible and actually thinks the game, going to find traction on a Quinn team?
It's a total train wreck of a culture crash.
Nothing wrong with that.Yes. She's ridiculously hot, even though I prefer brunettes's personally.
Ehhh he had a pretty good camp, which is why he made the team. He was better than Chytil, way better than Kravtsov. Better than Howden, IMO. So he did earn a spot on the roster. It's not like he was handed the spot. From there you can argue about whether he deserved to be playing exclusively as the 4C or whatever, but still...let's not pretend he didn't win a spot out of camp. You cant be frustrated with Quinn for not playing a player who probably should have been in Hartford. Why should he get better linemates? Because he was picked 7th? If he was a 3rd round pick nobody would even be talking about him. Everyone, but mostly Lias, was wanting him to get ice time based on his draft position, it doesnt work that way, and you need to show you have something to offer the coach to play,he did not, and maybe he can't because he doesnt have the skill level, either way this is the wrong way to go about it.
