He isn't under contract in the KHL next year, yet, so as long as Yurov is willing to listen to whatever the Wild recommend, they effectively have control. I don't know if that's truly the situation, but it sounds to me like Guerin thinks it is.

I have to imagine Yurov didn't like sitting on the bench any more than the Wild liked it. It'll be interesting to see what he does.
I think @Caser was on here saying that they are getting a new coach, and a lot depends on who they pick as to whether or not Yurov re-signs over there.

Can anyone who watches djurgarden comment on how he’s looked in the playoffs? Based only on stat watching he’s clearly stepped up in the playoffs. I’ve also been watching the post game highlights on YouTube after each of his games and his shot looks very good. Starting to get pretty excited about his potential

3rd in scoring in the post season. First on his team. Good to see. Hope his team qualifies for the SHL, so he can play against better competition next year.

Also leads the team in shot on goal with 28 shots in 9 games. Personally, in my stat watching, that's the stat I'm really putting emphasis on.

Game #2 of the finals, overtime win for DIF 3-2. Series tied at 1-1 and next 2 games at home for DIF
No points for the golden goose

11 points in 12 gp in qualification(post season). Scoring at a much higher rate than the regular season, against better teams - something is working.

Will he be better than Snuggerud? Would have been very cool to get two Gophers for Fiala.

Hard to say but I doubt he would’ve been a better fit. A tenacious shoot-first RH wing would be an amazing fit for one of Boldy or Kaprizov

If Ohgren played for the gophers, he would have scored in the championship game. Unlike the guy who fired it over the net.

Ohgren does seem to find another gear in the playoffs, is the league he is in considered better than the ncaa? I think it would be but I don't really know for sure.

Yes, it is a pro league. One of the top euro leagues,
1.KHL - RUS
2.SHL - SWE
3.Liiga - FIN
4.Extra - CZE
5.DEL - GER
6.NLA- SUI
7. HA - SWE (He plays here)

Rich coming from a fan of an absolutely pathetic hockey program lol
Interesting that Wisconsin has actually won a national championship more recently than the Goofs have, not to mention Duluth's three trophies in that time frame. Despite the Goofs' massive funding and recruiting advantages they remain the Leafs of college hockey.

Sorry Liam!

They’ve also won more championships than the gophers too. I do look forward to the Motzko vs Hastings battles to come!

I do think Ohgren is better than Snuggerud. People just have a front row view of Snuggerud right now while it’s hard for most to find videos/streams for Ohgren.

Interestingly, it appears Wisconsin makes more money per hockey player than Minnesota, in terms of revenue. I'm aware not all revenue gets distributed back into the hockey program evenly, but I don't have their balance sheets or cash flow statements. (note: those numbers are from 2018)

If we're going by how long it's been since the last win in combination with money, It appears Colorado College is more like the Leafs, being 6th in terms of revenue per player, and not having won since 1957. And then Boston University is just in a league of their own in revenue, but haven't won since 2009.

Game #6 MoDo was up 2-1 and with 3 minutes remaining DIF pulled the goalie and scored with 2 minutes left in the third.
It went to 2OT and DIF scored 2 minutes in.
Game #7 is played on sunday.
MoDo is the team Zuke played for before he got to the NHL. If they get promoted maybe he will retire and go back to sweden...

Yah but then Kap would have to go to Sweden

Might be very surface-level research but Ohgren is outproducing some North Americans in the league who have had very successful NCAA careers, so there's that.
