Do you know when Samsung or Micron need to pay their damages to Netlist or do they try to kick the can further down the road? That is my biggest concern, especially now that Netlist had to dilute once again with rather low stock price. Are they trying to bankrupt Netlist by forcing them to bleed everything they have to lawyers?

Anyway, I appreciate your post. It's a level-headed roundup about the case and gave me some new infirmation.

CAFC is likely the end of the line so less then 2 years this will be decided once and for all in regards to Samsung. If you read what Judge Gilstrap said about Micron in the last hearing after they beat them in court for 445M, he said they are no longer seeking patent invalidation which is their whole defense.

I would expect Micron to settle if they are smart and we know that the 2 sides have been meeting on settlement and we know the history of patent infringement cases settle out of court at a 94% rate.

IONQ has gone crazy lately. Now is time for me to sell out and make some money. I got into it too quick, lucky to make money. I don't think quantum computing will overcome the obstacles it faces

Quantum computing will most certainly overcome the obstacles. It's a matter of when not if. But some people are too optimistic about the timeframe. I could easily take another 20 years. On another note another whoopsie from Intel with their new core ultra .... still not sure why the US gov are betting so much on them to eventually compete with TSMC in such a small timeframe. It would be like betting on Boeing to intercept and deflect an asteroid about to hit earth in 10 years ...

pretty sure they are betting on intel because that a US based company they don’t want to have to rely on foreigners for such strategic and critical tech…

I think short term you will see a lot of pump-and-dump going on in quantum computing. But long term it's a super risky venture, would take hundreds of billions of research to make it work. Too much against it for me

What other choice do they have? Intel is the only game in town on the continent.
I'm starting to think Elon should buy Intel too lol

I'm not super surprised that Late boomer/Gen X leadership is failing everywhere in the US in these comfy companies that have been breeding incompetence and overwhelming corruption levels for the last 30 years.

Pharma/Food is even worse.

Any you fellows ever read the book Chip War? Pretty decent book. Not trying to pump the book but Well worth the read.

Shows how important semiconductors are, to go to this level. the Russians have 60 spys around Silicon Valley trying to steal our new technology. The stole the chips, took them back to Russia but never had technology to mass produce them. So they came back and stole the machine to produce them. It worked for awhile but when they broke never had the parts to repair them. The Russians are years behind in chip technology. The Chinese also. Why Taiwan is so important. Taiwan makes the highest technology chips in world. They going to be used in everything from missiles to battleships. American battleships parole the sea between China and Taiwan regularly to discourage China from attacking Taiwan.

China has expanding growth but they don't have the chip capabilities to keep up with western technology. The technology to make chips are quite high tech. Only few companies in world can mass produce them.
