¯\_(ツ)_/¯ just going with the assumption pretty much everyone out there has, if it's just Cap I guess it's fine.

but I would still like for them to take a break from the avengers and build up the X-Men rather than go straight into Secret Invasion or something big. The reason IW and End Game work so well is because they've literally been building this thing for 20 movies... gimme another slow burn.

I've been watching all the x-men movies after watching all the MCU, Logan was really good but everything else is... meh at best

I JUST WANT THE X-MEN TO BE GOOD DAMNIT GIMME MY X-MEN

WHY DOES MYSTIQUE HAVE EVERY POWER EVER

THEY RUINED JEAN GREY

Theyre probably going to play off Wanda going crazy with the loss of Pietro and Vision straight into a mini house of M.

maybe she'll get the Russian accent back

idk what's up with superhero movies and losing accent but it keeps happing! I wouldn't be surprised if T'Challa just loses his accent next movie too

Theres still plenty of crossover stories to go around. World war hulk, Secret wars, Fear itself, house of M, Avengers Dissasembled, Siege, Onsluaght, AvX, War of Kings, Annihilation, Secret invasion, Xmen Schism and my favorite Chaos war.

IMO theyre going to go towards a combination of Secret invasion (I think theres skrulls in CM?) Annihilation, WWH and Siege.

I don't think theres any news about Hemsworth and Downey JR wanting out? Its just Evans.

Imo, the future lies in Spider-man, despite having had the most feature movies in the last 20 years, of all superheros. SM has always been Marvel's flagship character and aside from the aptly titled Homecoming, the portrayals were never truly Marvel's. There's still a lot of potential with multiple SM characters, but even with Parker, we've never had a chance to experience a more mature version of the character except in the recent oscar winning ITSV. Don't know about you, but it wasn't really Miles' story that did it for me, although it was great, but for me it was a lot more about relating to mid-life crisis, divorced Peter.

A future crossover with Deadpool is gonna be epic. Venom too.

I love Spiderman but his street level BS isnt fun, he basically never meets someone that can 1v1 him.

That's not what im interested in. There are great stories to tell with some of the lesser known villains like Kraven, Miles Warren, Ezekiel (sorta villain), Sin Eater and Black Tarantula, among others.

Meh, it becomes a hard sell to the main-stream media and it undersells Spidey as he tends to job a lot against weaker foes.

Depends on how the story itself is handled. We've seen just shades of one tone of spider-man. There's a lot room for darker and more adult content.

The meta-powered goodies and baddies will get stale pretty quick.

How can it get darker than Carnage though ? Thats a baddie I can get behind. f***ing trashing spidey left and right.

That. But no one ever rocked Parker's world as Warren did. In a more limited scope, the clone saga could be something great.

As for Carnage, my guess is that Spider-man will be an integral part of the next Venom movie.

Morlun maybe, but he's not exactly a typical Spiderman villain.

I just think Marvel won't want something too complicated, you know ?

Id see an amalgamation of the Ezekiel/Morlun storyline mixed with Kraven, Morbius and the neogenic nightmare storyline. Black Tarantula could also mesh well with the Morlun storyline too (wasnt he part of it at some point?).

About the clone saga, that's why i mentioned in a more limited scope, because that was the whole problem with the storyline, it was just too exagerated. Seemed like every issue there needed to be some big reveal or new enigma to appear. The Ultimate version captured the essence right without becoming too convulated (Ock replacing Warren as the mad scientist wanting to wreck havoc in Pete's life).

Yes, marvel loves to do that crossovering crossovers like buildup.

Ya..I mean..I wouldn't be surprised if MJ did stuff with those kids. Not like it would be a difficult thing to believe. I would have given them more credit and been more open to it had they presented things about those guys.
Why didn't they bring up the previous lawsuits? Why not address their financial situations? Why not let Robson explain why he went as far as to dedicate an entire episode on his personal show about MJ?..Why constantly participate in honor shows about MJ? Why did they perjur themselves? Why do this now, when he's dead, and nobody to counter?...

Had they looked at those things, it would have made the documentary look a lot less biased and way more objective.
Agreed with everything. I'm not saying there's no way he did those things. I wouldn't be surprised if he did. I just didn't hear anything new here that has everyone in an uproar. This is all stuff that's been all over the news for years.

My personally belief is that they were using him for money, but don't want to show their colors now, but its certainly possible they are telling the truth. I also don't find it all that remarkable that their stories are similar. Much of this was already out in public about the other 2 boys, it wouldn't be difficult at all to fabricate a story based on events that are already public.

I hate when this happings

How about Prince of Thieves? IIRC, Costner had a British accent for like half a sentence and he just switches back to his normal accent rest of the movie.

Kraven’s Last Hunt would be a good “grown-up” story to adapt for the big screen. Doesn’t have to be rated R but it can really push the boundaries of PG-13.

Well both are equally wrong. England is still ruled by House of Normandy (Richard IV) and Robin is a noble he would have spoken Anglo-Norman French... Which is basically just french but with weird spelling. ;)

My ears are already hurting anticipating Costner trying to pull that accent off.

On the topic of accents, I was reading an excerpt of an interview with Brad Dourif where he mentioned he was speaking in his normal accent to I think Bernard Hill off the set of Lord of the Rings and Hill told Dourif he had the worst/fake American accent he’s ever heard. Funny of course given Dourif is American.

Hate it so much when an actor can pull off an accent and worse still when they abandon it in part or completely. It's cringeworthy.

An example that comes to mind is Emma Watson in The Perks of Being a Wallflower tries to sound like an American and fails miserably. It comes out as a mashup of British and American and it hurts her performance as she is supposed to have been brought up in the US as per the part she plays, as I recall.

It was one of Watson's first movies since Potter and she had apprehensions back in 2011 just before the shooting:

Watson filmed her first scenes for the film recently, with the actress unsure of her regional dialect.

"My accent? I was really nervous. I think it sounded terrible!" she told MTV News.

Her performance came across like the one you described by Costner. Not only was it off but it was inconsistent and noticeable. It's uncanny as one of the strengths of Brit actors is that they do a great job with American dialects normally unlike Americans attempting Brit dialects.

One thing though I do notice with British and Australian actors though when they perform as Americans is that in many shows and movies, they tend to play Southerners. I forgot who it was, but it may had been the guy who played the main character's brother in True Blood says Southern accents are easy since they are so hard to understand anyways.... nobody will know, lol.

That said, who I find does an excellent "region-neutral" American accent is Damian Lewis from Billions, though he has played an American in Band of Brothers and Homeland, among others.

Not to bag on American actors though, there are many who can pull of British accents very convincingly though I do stress these are actors and not just actors... Dinklage, Paltrow, Tudyk (an extremely underrated actor) and RDJ to name a few.

A bit of a cheat, but Philip Winchester is an American actor who played a British super soldier in one of my favorite shows, Strike Back. I say "cheat" because while he was born and raised through his youth and college years IN the United States, his mother is British.

See, I don't think it would work either... There's no emotional attachment to Kraven... How does it work in a hour and a half movie?

I know Thanos had the benefit of build up over multiple movies, but in reality, he only had IW to show the character off. I’ll admit Kraven’s Last Hunt would be harder to make audiences care as nobody will know who he is. I don’t think having him pop up to job like a jabronie to Spider-Man for several movies will do his character justice also.
