I mean there are a limited number of guys who have owned NHL teams so they can be considered fairly closeI heard Peter Karmanos is pretty close.
In a 180 degree sort of way of close.

This is a though that I have been wondering. There's A, the sum he absolutely needs to get, there's B, the sum he plausibly should get, and there's B-A, the difference that Aho would be ok with if the team used it to sign a competitive roster instead of paying it to him. With the rumors of Aho's contract being a slight discount and there also "still being some work to do", I wonder if Aho told the org: "Make some changes, make us better, and I will take a small haircut. But if you just run it back again, I want to get PAAAIIIIDDDDD."
Donny doing his best to make Aho proud this offseason.
I feel bad for any nincompoop who forgets that. And then there’s B-A Baracus
In my defense I am a moron and forgot to respond.Hi friends. I asked @Surrounded By Ahos this yesterday, but he totally blew me off, so I am asking this in here.
You know Dundon? Is there another one out there? I'm actually dead serious. And desperate.
Pitying some fools right thereAnd then there’s B-A Baracus
Wtf are you doing, get back to work, droneIn my defense I am a moron and forgot to respond.
No Cap, I don’t know any billionaires. If I did I would probably be chilling on their mega yacht in the Ionian Sea right now instead of checking hf on my lunch break.
Eklund is a f*ckin goof. he's misses by a mile on trades and says "hey dont blame me I only post rumors" total assclown.Has anyone seen this?
I hope this isn't true, because the Canes would get hosed in this deal
Rumor: Pesce, Jarvis #1, #2 for Erik Karlsson…
Carolina really wants to get this done and San Jose really can’t do better…The Hawks would take on some of the Cap hit…

Not interested. I'd rather upgrade on wing than bring Trocheck back. I liked him when he was here, butThe Canes need to send the Rangers a prospect and a #1 for Trocheck. Then the Rangers can resign Tarasenko with that money and the Canes solve the center problem.
Coghlan is a 7th defender for the season. We signed him as a quality reserve, not an everyday playerI would still offer sheet Lafreniere. Rangers are within 6 million of the ceiling. Would they guarantee Scanlin or Pajuniemi more guaranteed money on their next deal if they file for arbitration so they had some buyout protection for an offer sheet?
could we flip TDA in the Karlsson deal? cuz Karlsson, Burns, Coghlan and TDA are 2 too many Righty PP guys.
i understand what Coghlan is but we would still need an extra shutdown defender too with that lineup.Coghlan is a 7th defender for the season. We signed him as a quality reserve, not an everyday player
Not if you're scoring 5 goals a game you wouldn't. If we get Karlsson and Tank, I bet we'd do exactly that.i understand what Coghlan is but we would still need an extra shutdown defender too with that lineup.
i think Dundon is passed the creating entertainment to sell tickets phase. We are in the trying to win a cup phase. It will be hard to do if we struggle with defense in the playoffs. Not if you're scoring 5 goals a game you wouldn't. If we get Karlsson and Tank, I bet we'd do exactly that.
Dundon would love the entertainment value of 5-4 games every night. Rod not so much!

i think Edmonton has enough O.S protection right now. The have 5.5 mil in space plus McLeod going to arbitration to allow them to buy out Campbell or another player if need be.If we get Karlsson then sure go after Laf; but otherwise I think Bouchard is the better target. Would give us a more likely 1RD Burns replacement than counting on Morrow to be able to fill that role.
Use Pesce/Skjei to target another forward in that scenario.

I like Bouchard and the thought of weakening the Oilers too is OK.Could be the case. I think the offer would have to be well into the 1/2/3 compensation tier to work. Looking like McLeod will probably end up on a bridge deal somewhere around $2m. That would account for 12 forwards. They'd have to replace Campbell somehow; maybe DeSmith at $1.8m.
I think they could make it work but if we went 1x8.5ish they'd also have to move Foegele (and probably get bent in a trade) and bring in another league min forward.
Sure has been boring since Jul 1st.
It seems like the trade market is waiting for the Karlsson and Cat deals to go through.Sure has been boring since Jul 1st.
Will be funny if the holdup is the TDA trade. It seems like the trade market is waiting for the Karlsson and Cat deals to go through.
I have an odd feeling he is included in the Karlsson deal with DW mentioning we are still negotiating with Skjei. I don’t see us sitting Chatfield and why have 2 depth RHS pp guys? If Skjei was being traded too, i could see a TDA staying. Will be funny if the holdup is the TDA trade.
