Congrats on a 1 game sample size I guess?
Yeah, Drai has only been good for one game his entire career.

Clearly what I meant, right?
I mean, it's pretty obvious I meant 1 game away from McDavid being on the roster means nothing. I didn't get a chance to watch the game anyways, was too late on a weeknight.
I'll be watching this weekend for their afternoon game. You guys make fun of Leaf fans but man you guys do the exact same **** lol.
You know I’m just razzing you.
The difference is you guys live in such a bubble in Toronto, you don’t often see what’s happening outside of the “Centre of the Universe”. This is especially true in hockey.
You mentioned wanting to watch Drai yesterday, then he puts up 4 points lol that was a game to watch.
I know. I only get to really watch the Oilers on weekends because the games are on too late. I watch a lot of them because I interact with you fine folk so often, I like to at least have an idea of the players.
Plus secretly I do like watching Drai and know that visually he has been better than McDavid this year.
so is he or is he not better than matthews ?
Some friendly banter and chirping is always good when testing our hockey opinions. Leafs and Oilers fans are as passionate as it comes about hockey.
Besides a pretty bad stretch in December (where Drai forgot how to hockey), I’d say Drai visually and actual production wise has been the best player in the world. Which seems absurd when he’s a teammate of McDavids, but he’s really been that dominant.
That backhand sauce to Yamamoto yesterday though.
McDavid hasn't exactly been himself this year either though, production aside.
He's actually probably in better shape, didn't he have to train like 10 hours a day to get back for this season.Speaks to how good he is, essentially he missed an entire offseason rehabbing his knee.
Lol..meanwhile Draisaitl is pretty much at 2 ppg for 15 games without McDavid.Congrats on a 1 game sample size I guess?

Herp derp
Blows my mind how many people on the internet will hit rock bottom and then just start drilling.
You know, I generally enjoy your posts. You put a lot of work into them, and it shows.
But your credibility is getting cratered on this, and it's a really bad look.
Seriously, sit this one out. This is not the hill you want to die on.
I think what he meant is the indirect benefits of having McDavid on the roster period.
These next couple of games will showcase Leon’s ability to take on the hard match-ups while still producing.
Don’t think any of us can argue the indirect impact of having a McDavid playing on your roster, even if he’s on a different line than you.
I get what he’s saying, but we’re gonna learn a lot about Draisatl.
Pump the breaks there. McDavid has been the better player as a whole since he entered the league. Lets see what he looks like next season when his knee is fully recovered and he's had the summer to get back to 100% training. But that’s really just not true. Draisitl brings more to the table than McDavid, is a better scorer, better passer, and stronger. McDavid has the speed, hands, and flash but in the end it doesn’t really matter because Drai will outproduce him.
Rehab is not the same as performance training in any way. He's actually probably in better shape, didn't he have to train like 10 hours a day to get back for this season.
Nope Draisaitl's better. Look at the statsPump the breaks there. McDavid has been the better player as a whole since he entered the league. Lets see what he looks like next season when his knee is fully recovered and he's had the summer to get back to 100% training.
I said since coming into the league. Draisaitl has been better this season, yes.Nope Draisaitl's better. Look at the stats
