He's a good player obviously as it's not like everyone on the Oilers is getting 110+ points regularly.

However, I don't think he's a 110+ point player on any other team in the league.

I remember the year he won the Art Ross/Hart/Lindsay, with McDavid injured for a few games, Draisaitl put the team on his back and scored at an even higher rate during that timespan.

I think McDavid’s effect on Draisaitl’s point totals is greatly overstated. His style of play is more cerebral than flashy, which leads to his talents being underappreciated by some.

Highly disagree because of the amount of points he gets on the powerplay. You think he's getting 54 PP points (50% of his total points this season) on the PP in Arizona?

Arizona has 41 TOTAL powerplay goals this season. Draisaitl has 54 PP points this season. Draisaitl has more PP points than Arizona has goals on the PP.
It’s possible. I mean, Clayton Keller is a better player than any leaf other than marner this season

No I'm arguing that other then Mcdavid he plays with trash and plays regularly for the last 3 years on another line with much inferior players. If he played on teams like Toronto or Tampa with multiple good players they would offset the McDavid effect. Also, he most likely hots 125 this year not 110.

Don't be angry that Matthews is inferior. Without Marner Matthews is a 80 point player in fact he only got over 80 points once. Put him on a random team and he doesn't hit 80 points.

It'd be hard to get 54 powerplay points on Toronto this season like has has in Edmonton, considering Toronto has only scored 53 goals on the powerplay as a team.

In fact, Draisaitl has more PP points than all but 6 NHL teams have goals.
Lol

Calling a 4 time and most likely 5 + time 100+ point player anything less on another team makes you sound desperate man. Stop it.

Put him on any PP unit in the league and you will see their numbers skyrocket. He is arguably the most important piece of the Oilers’ PP.

I think there's another play that's more important to the PP on the Oilers

Hint: He has 8 more PP points than Draisaitl

Matthews would be on the oilers second PP he’s not unseating Mcdavid Drai or nuge this season

Matthews scored 44 of his 60 goals at even-strength last year. He leads the league in even-strength goals since he entered the league, so I don't think that's an issue.

You don't think McDavid is better than Marner?

First time I've heard an Oilers fan suggest that, flattering to be honest.
Matthews definitely hits 60+ with McDavid yearly and probably tops out at 40 assists with it 🤣 since he is not much of a playmaker or controls the pace of play. He isn't a Draisaitl or has anywhere near Leon's Hockey IQ. Leon can pop pucks into the net like Matthews... but can Matthews pass like Leon ? Watch OT tonight?

all I’m hearing is “my team sucks on the powerplay and has absolutely no finish”

I mean, that's quite the reach considering Toronto is second in the league behind Edmonton in powerplay percentage. That's like suggesting Edmonton is the only team with 'finish' on the powerplay.

The bigger difference is, Edmonton is second in the the league to the Senators in PP opportunities, giving them the ability to score more goals. Toronto doesn't get nearly as many powerplays to score on even if they wanted to.

Wow one outlier year this year he can not catch Hyman in the scoring race:popcorn:

Huh?

I said he leads the league in total even-strength goals since he joined the league... 7 years ago. Seems more than one outlier year,
