Dude is struggling a little now in his last few games, can see the frustration on his face and his body language. His line-mates have actually been very good, so it’s not them. Before it was, but not now. I think he is honestly playing through something or the knee is not 100%. He still has shifts where he looks dangerous but the passing and timing is off. Break will be good for him.

On a tangent, Terry showed that he wasn't the problem on that line. Groulx is ecstatic to earn a second point on the season and both points came at the hands of Terry (according to the broadcast team).

It's a dev season. Carlsson as a recently turned 19 year old rookie is having a normal up-and-down rookie season. Maybe the season is just wearing on him.

I recall Drysdale's 18-year old campaign in his 24-NHL game stint where he looked amazing to start in the NHL and then went cold for the final 14 or so games like his body couldn't keep up. In Drysdale's first full season in the NHL, all I wanted was him to look solid in all 82 games regardless of his offense. He lasted 81 games.

Another factor to take into consideration could be that Carlsson might have grown a quarter or half an inch during the season. Remember when he got injured, the doctors said some growth item wasn't closed yet, which meant that Carlsson can still grow an inch or two more. If Carlsson did grow, then that could explain why he's off on his passing as his mind hasn't adjusted to being taller/longer.

It’s a testament to his ability that he looks like he has been struggling but still looks dynamic

He still growing into his body. This summer he will work on stamina and next year he's going to dominate
And muscle. He doesn’t get knocked on his ass, but he does get knocked enough to where he loses control of the puck, and he doesn’t dominate physical contact when he’s trying to get the puck as much as he should with his frame.

This strategy has borne fruit; Carlsson's been an impact forward for the Ducks from the word go. Among all U20 skaters, only Connor Bedard has generated more offence on a per-game basis. Perhaps more impressively, Carlsson has driven positive underlying results on both ends of the ice while playing down the middle as one of the youngest players in the league.
As of this writing, Carlsson leads the Ducks in power play points per 60 minutes with 5.94. That mark ranks in the top 60 among all NHL skaters with at least 50 power play minutes, but it doesn't tell the entire story.

With Carlsson on the ice, the Ducks have averaged a pace of almost 12 goals per 60 minutes, while the team's overall average is just 6.72. According to Evolving-Hockey's GAR (Goals Above Replacement) model, Carlsson has been one of the most value-creating players on the man-advantage in the entire league.

Sweden and basketball is pretty much non-existent from my (limited) view. That being said...I can't take a sport seriously, in which people are pretty much not allowed to touch each other whatsoever, as well. Might just be me, but I view most basketball players as overgrown crybabies with temper issues.

No clue but I know that Lithuanians and Ukrainians are.
Not sure about Ukranians and basketball, but Lithuanians for sure. It's their top sport by far and they're pretty good at it. I'd say it's growing well in Latvia as well, becoming more and more popular.
For the new generation everywhere, I think the social media helps to advertise the biggest NBA stars so they know basketball better. Leo also mentioned Durant.
In comparison, NHL is a hurr durr old man yells at a cloud type of a league which wonders why the salary cap is not growing by itself. Albeit some of the social media and marketing efforts are nice but it is not enough I guess. NHL needs more markatable people (like Zegras). PK tried it but was silenced in some ways which shows the root of the problem.

This is partially why I stopped watching NBA years ago. I have since restarted because some of the local players have been playing there lately and it's not as bad, IMO. There are some primadonnas but also some tougher players. I still stro gly prefer hockey tho. But yeah, I cannot understand futbol(soccer).

I remember hearing about multiple instances, where players wielded guns in the locker rooms because they had an argument with other players. That ghetto behavior immediately drove me away from the sport for good.

Yep. Another, one of the biggest factor, was that anyone who had a great game seemed to go on and brag about themselves as the best thing since sliced bread. A lot of people seemed to be full of themselves.

Feels that situation has improved now, but I don't follow it that closely
