Not sure why this person only focuses on the negative. They choose to make a big deal about the bad things and ignore all the positive. Things are on track despite what they say, because it is only THEIR opinion. The arena is going to get done. Things are looking good. I'm gonna be fine and that's what matters.

"This person" is a reporter I've worked with and whose opinion I trust. If he says the news is expected to be bad, it's because he's vetted it with his sources.

Anyway, I'm all for dunking on Melnyk here – it seems well deserved – but I'm also pretty bummed about this. Would've been such a huge boon to the team. I'm not writing it off entirely but the whole redevelopment looks to be in danger right now.

Good. So where is this debt laden owner who is bleeding profusely (by his own admission and by lack of fan support financially) get the loans to pay the debt payments AND put sureties for Lebreton? I thought you said you were connected, but obviously not connected enough to know that both Ruddy and Bird are pissed at this situation. You think they will let Melnyk kill the RLG development ambition at Lebreton? You don't think DCDLS aren't chomping at the bits? You think the only interested party is the one that made the offer (the group we both know that have been talking partnership-ownership in the summer)?

Mods deleted my post when I took the guy's name in one of the responses, so I have.been ignoring these types of conversations since. But allowing a person to be posting BS as legit rumours/behind the scene stuff is ridiculous.

I am glad this is now out in the open, the noose is tight, the chair Melnyk is standing on has broken legs.
