I get cised by the Kid Line, man. Im a supporter. You guys don't even get cised for the kid line. You want Chytil with Bread and Mika with 13 and 24. I'm the one with THE TEMPLATE.
You guys complain about the kids' usage whether the vets carry us to a win or the kids are our best line in an OT loss. So it shouldn't even be a talking point anymore. It's a constant.
What’s the initiation fee for this country club? Is there a waiting list? How’s the food?

Then why is Trochek thereYeah, novel concept. A coach trying to win playing his best PP players on the PP.

The coach announces he's never gonna see a reduction in ice time and then people blame Panarin when he cuts corners.Damn that kind of quote gets you fired
I just don’t understand why the kid line gets basically demoted in the third. They were dominating the game every time they were on the ice while other lines were struggling.
Gallant loves to preach earning it and stuff but their play warranted them being the de facto first line tonight and instead we have to watch the other 2 lines turtle and eventually blow the lead in the third. What realistic explanation could there be for not running them out there every other shift in the third BESIDES their age? Them being young players is really the only thing because there certainly wasn’t anything on the ice tonight that should lead to that decision. This is why I don’t like lumping the kids together. They get sat late in games basicslly just because they’re kids. Tonight their play warranted them playing the most 5v5 minutes and heavy in the third but it didn’t happen. This has to be one of the most egregious examples of something like this all year from Gallant because they were literally dominating every shift they were out there. It’s not like we’re just mad they didn’t get more time for their development, they deserved more time bc their okay warranted it and it would’ve been the best thing for winning tonight’s game.
tbh the whole team sucks... So yes.Are you seriously complaining about the kids today?
This is why I’m squarely team Trotz. That guy got Ovy to play an ounce or two of defense, which was unfathomable at the time. The coach announces he's never gonna see a reduction in ice time and then people blame Panarin when he cuts corners.
Sorry, but it's human nature. We respond to incentives.
Panarin needs a kick in the ass and a bit of meritocracy. He's here to stay so we better make the best of it.
The other 3 that were mentioned should be on the PP most of the time. I don't see what the big deal is about the coach actually articulating that. Trocheck shoots more than some others and takes faceoffs. I could see an argument that he could be replaced. The others I can't.Then why is Trochek there
Zib, Fox and Panarin, yes. That leaves 2 spots. Just so happens we have a 1st and 2nd overall pick in their 3rd and 4th seasons already who could use such an opportunity , and have looked good on the 2nd unit in limited minutes playing with absolute plugs like Trouba, Blais and Goodrow at times. The other 3 that were mentioned should be on the PP most of the time. Cause he's better than Brodz and Carpenter? Then why is Trochek there
hmm true. In the 29 and up rankings (cutoff for getting PP1 time), i guess he's the next best option.Cause he's better than Brodz and Carpenter?
lol i wouldn't have even recognized him unless they pointed him out, dude is a ghostNice to see that Chris Drury does still exist
He must be at the pizzeria when we play at the garden or the propaganda train doesn’t want us to know he’s still alive
Good one. I'll send you my old geometry textbook.hmm true. In the 29 and up rankings (cutoff for getting PP1 time), i guess he's the next best option.
Because a guy like Hughes is young and their best player. They don't have a Krieder, Fox, Mika, and Panarin on their PP. All proven elite PP guys. What he fails to acknowledge is the fact that NJ is a very good, competitive hockey team...and kids run their PP. One thing leads to the other. Trust and bigtime minutes help talented kids grow.
Trotz would be leaning on the vets even more. He would absolutely be shutting down any offense from our kids. This is why I’m squarely team Trotz. That guy got Ovy to play an ounce or two of defense, which was unfathomable at the time.
