Easy Tuomisto.

Seider has grown on me a lot, and I like the potential. It was definitely a reach, but I like his upside.

Tuomisto at 35 was insane. Especially because he was ranked in the 70s by most, and also considering we picked a big RHD with our first pick that was already questionable. I wanted Lavoie at 35

Probably could have done without the Czech goalie they picked in the third round.

Kings' European head scout Christian Ruutuu even said:

His technique is not on the same level as the Swedish kid that we were looking at, too, but Parik is a competitor, he’ll never give up and he works really hard.

Great. My buddy in rec is really competitive and works really hard too, but I'm not about to recommend him to Rob Blake.

Canes had an utterly ridiculous draft considering how late that they were picking on average, but the one blemish IMO was Webber at #99. It felt too much like an insurance ploy on a large but raw defenseman just in case the uber-skilled and fast Fensore didn't pan out at #90 because of his diminutive size. I would've rather used that pick on Teply or Keppen, but other than that? The Canes nailed every pick, in my eyes. I mean, Suzuki, Kotchekov, Rees, Puistola, Honka, Fensore, Tieksola, Slepets, Wall, Murray, and Rizzo? Incredible!

I didn’t love the Konovalov pick. A small KHL double overager goalie that can’t come over for two more years with some pretty solid forward prospects on the board seemed weird, especially since we could have gotten Wolf anytime we wanted. People that I trust liked this pick but I really thought we were going to grab Cajkovic or Protas... ah well. Hindsight is 20/20 I guess.

As a sens fan there isnt a single pick I like but Pinto as the first pick of the second round is easily the most dissapointing, everything the sens did in the 2nd round was absolutely terrible. Being a sens fan is absolutely terrible.

Trading down from 50 with Misyul, Kolyachonok, Dorofeyev on the board to pick up another 5th that we turned into ****ing Leguerrier

I hated when the CBJ picked Ryan Collins in the second round in 2014.

I have to use a previous draft. I have an exception.

clearly karl henriksson

taken 58OA on the strength of his u18 play with 2 absolute studs on his wings.

smallish and not fast, this kid has tools but at 58, too soon for me with the more talented pavel dorofeyev there waiting.

i get it hes a pivot and they are worth more but i had him in round 3/4 so to me, its too soon for a kid who's smallish and has some limited offensive upside.

we already have lias andersson....

Only one I didn’t like much was Carson Focht in the 5th round but Pronman and others were saying they like his chances to become a player so what do I know.

Konovalov is better already than 95% of players in this draft will ever be.

Not necessarily disappointed with any player, and hell we didn't pick until #62, but for a pipeline (and in a couple years-NHL team) that is absolutely starved for defense especially LHD, to have 5 picks and take 3 forwards and 2 goalies seems very strange.

Also didn't like that the goalie they picked in round 3 was about the 7th best goalie on the board.

And this is more of a joke than anything, but don't love that 3 of the 5 were from the QMJHL. Not exactly an NHL factory over there.

Sens are one of the better draft and developement teams in the league. Even if often those players dont become stars(though some do like stone, karlsson) they find guys who can play different roles and fit within the team.

If the sens haven't fired the previous scouts(dont know how cheap melnyk is when it comes to managerial staff) then their track record should buy them some faith and time.

I don't have a least favorite selection. I did however wonder at moving up twice in the late rounds to make selections. More kicks at the can preferable to fewer and all that.

Theres been big turn over in the staff, they have a ton of picks over the next 3 years they should have took a couple swings. The scout that identified Chabot is gone. Watching Pinto at development camp has put an exclamation point at how bad that pick was when they had 44th as well.

Even though York was a solid first round pick, I felt we had the chance for hitting a home run in either Krebs, Cole or Boldy.....

Damn kind of dumb for Melnyk and the sens to have turnover in the department that truly was succeeding for them. Dont know much about Pinto but just for early showings Marner in his rookie first year camp looked worse than guys like bracco, tymashov etc. Different caliber of prospects but it might be too early to judge Pinto just off of a rookie camp.

Picks I love

Kakko
Robertson
Henriksson
Aaltonen

Picks I’m content with

Jones
Edstrom

Picks I don’t love

Skinner
Ciccolini

Really like a lot of what the Canucks did in Podkolzin (aka Putsgoalsin), Hoglander, Keppen etc. I’d have to go with the overeager Focht or another goalie in Silovs when we have 2 elite D prospects and Thiessen. We also picked no D out of 9 picks.

I don't love Artemi Kniazev. I don't hate the pick either as he fills a need and I like his tools, but his production rate in junior is quite poor for an undersized offensive defenseman whose defensive game is considered a weakness. I'm fine with taking a flyer on a player like that, but if you're going to do that, I would prefer it be somebody whose offense showed up on the stat sheet.

One of the 6th rounders, Santeri Hatakka, honestly just seems like we punted the pick. But a 6th is so insignificant that I don't really care.
