Post-Game Talk: Leafs win.

hmm... I disagree... Campbell looked bad on those first two goals... I thought Nylander was one of the better players tonight with regards to drive and heart... but too each his own.

Just happy he got on the scoresheet again. And we won !

EDIT: Ok that came out wrong. I realy mean he has a great year, and its fantastic to see. Lets hope it continues.

You sure he was yelling at the other leaf player for slowly gliding across the ice? It looks to me like Holl was looking at mathews and going to pass it while the other guy was just floating(line change?) and choked off the passing lane.
Or did Holl expect a change and Mathews didn't?

In like Novice or Pee wee they teach you not to make a move at the line. You gain the line first.

Holl dekes before he gains the line and puts his man offside. Matthews is frustrated because again, you’re taught better in minor hockey.

Glad we won.
We still have alot of issues .
D pinching a way to much, forward not realizing the dman pinched. This is the way Dubass and keefe want to play.
To many give always .
The pp looks alot better when there is movement . Still no traffic in front of the net , there goaltender tracks the puck easily. would rather have Bunting causing headaches for there D and goaltender.
We still don't start on time .

Lets see if we can fix those things before next wk Golden knight's,
TB, Bost, LA and Philly.
Please don't think you are better than Detroit ( they just beat Washington ).

I’m happy for you. This was simply 2 points with all the same bad habits we have been seeing for far to long.
I cannot believe what a low bar some Leafs fans have set for the team.
With 3- 11 million dollar stars that have been in the league for 5 years and up to have to scratch and claw out an overtime win against the train wreck that is the Hawks is simply not confidence building

There's only a very small amount of actual Dubas homers. Everyone else is just calm and talk through things logically. For some reason that irritates people who don't like Dubas.

Is that Nylander with them? I'm not saying he messed up I am just saying he floated perfectly to take away the pass and then the cross ice dump in. Holl committed to center ice/Mathews side and had his own player take away the entire left hand side of the rink. It was bad luck not Pee-wee stuff

100% this. Doesn't matter if he gets 65 or 105 regular season points, how he does in the playoffs is what counts. And that goes not just for Marner, but for the entire team (though Marner is the guy with the biggest spotlight shining on him for sure).

What's with our defence tripping up on their feet and falling over the ice? Look very slow and immobile. Muzzin and Holl are agitating even Morgan is getting on my nerves.

Both Nylander and Matthews tried to maintain momentum to time the entry. They’re expecting him to cross the line or dump it. When Holl chose to make a move at the line rather than gaining it as they both expected, it put the play offside.

That’s not bad luck. That’s Justin Holl doing Justin Holl things.
