hey Parros LOL

That dark smudge under Parros's nose isn't a moustache. It's stuff from his bowels overflowing from his nose, he is so full of it.

Can make the case before the additions but certainly not after the TDL additions.
Also a lot had to do with Willie and now AM taking over the team and stealing games.
Let's see who they add at the deadline. Better goaltending this year, better forward depth, better performances from the star players, and definitely tougher to play against.

I am curious too but I don’t think they should add any rentals

Sure, if you don't want the 3rd line to chip in at all.

Why not 4th line?
I think JT can still score in 5v5 as long as he plays with players who plays a simple game, like dump and chase and Robbie and McMann can do that.

I am on team 'do not sell the farm' for a playoff run, not that we have much to see other than a 1st and some good prospects.
I look at the rest of the Eastern conference and it leads me to believe that "selling the farm" wouldn't be the worst idea in the world. I appreciate that Florida looks formidable at the moment, but who knows when it comes to their goaltending. The rest of the conference is so mediocre. I don't think there is a single team in the conference that could beat the Leafs in a playoff series other than Florida. It would be negligent to not try everything in their power to win this season. The future doesn't offer any guarantees.

I'm looking ahead to 25/26 to be the big go for it year. Based on our current contract situation and cap space.

How many even strength goals had JT got this season?
Stats aren't currently in his favor but how many teams can boast they have a 70 point 800 face-off win 2C for the playoffs ?

The stat we like is he paces 30 goals in the playoffs. This hasn't changed the past 2 seasons. His pace has not encountered a decline to date.

There is also no guarantee the added players make a difference. Sometimes it’s better to go with the horses that got you there.

I realize Bertuzzi is the current whipping boy, and yes, he needs to improve, but he also doesn't get enough credit for some of the little plays he makes. Today, Matthews wouldn't have scored on the power play without Bertuzzi's stick lift on Leddy.

Blow out all your assets now and not win and then you are f***ed for any subsequent runs in the next 4 years with Matthews. Upgrade the D some and look for a C that allows you to move JT to wing. The 2nd line with Domi in the middle looked fast today.

Perfect start the road trip. Kept it simple. I’m sure players aren’t 100% out there. Knies and McMann with big goals. Matthews keeps chugging along. Sammy never severely tested. Marlies call up D played well.

Does Matthews score his 50th against the Coyotes? Probably.

The main thing for Bertuzzi is he's not overwhelmed in the top 6. He just has no efficiency to date (for us).

Overwhelmed is where you need to be concerned. Efficiency issues can be fixed. He seems to be in his head and can't get out. His metrics are decent and he's not like Mik and Engvall who always got overwhelmed when Keefe gave them ample opportunities to become top 6 wingers
