This team is better than last season's team in most ways. All they need is a couple of defensively responsible additions.

Can make the case before the additions but certainly not after the TDL additions.
Also a lot had to do with Willie and now AM taking over the team and stealing games.

He’s been non existent 5v5, and he’s slow as sh$t. Not sure that classified as elite anything

Even more than that, I think it's less about what line Tavares is centering and more along the lines of Willy needing a C with wheels.

That's alot of games lost due to injury/mental health.

I think the issue is that Domi really can't be the third line centre in the playoffs, either. He's just not defensively responsible enough.

Earlier in the season I challenged that statement. As the season has worn on, I can see it now. But he has proven to be very ineffective on the wing so not sure how that will be managed.

I feel D is a higher priority, though the group is doing a lot to prove they are capable. If a move is made, have to think it is for D depth.

I am on team 'do not sell the farm' for a playoff run, not that we have much to see other than a 1st and some good prospects.

So, that means Domi probably is the 3C and we do the best with what we have.

To me 2C and 3C is just name only. Like you said usage determines that. Not sure will JT be at PP2 as I think he will be back on PP1. Also, he will be most likely first unit out playing with AM after the PK(since both Willie and MM are PKers now). I just don’t see why JT needs to be staple with Willie? They both can drive their own lines and Keefe will always have the option to load up the lines when needed.
We kept saying we need balance scoring and support scoring and yet refuse to spread the offence.
