Woll really pulled that one out for them. He has to be the starter now. Happy for Mitch too obviously. I thought the team actually battled hard in this one but there are just too many miscues. Probably doesn't help that the ice looked like complete dogshit all game.
Matthews looked lost out there. Disinterested at times.
Great game for Marner, hopefully this gets him going. Nylander hasn't looked the same since coming back from Sweden. Matthews....... Ugly stuff.

Randy Carlyle had the team with a 10-1-1 record from November into mid-December with most of those wins from OT/SO. He was fired in January while in a playoff spot. Just saying...

You know. For those in the past who complained the post-games threads were silent after wins (I'll admit to being someone who has done so), these wins are the perfect storm. Anger and negativity but the team won! We have found the recipe!

Tristan Jarry has more goals than Max Domi so far this year...

Thread title looks like some posters are super salty the good guys pulled off a win.
At this point, the Leafs have two major problems:
1) Matthews is playing like dogshit and is dragging down everyone he plays with.
2) The team has no defensive structure whatsoever, leading to them hemorrhaging scoring chances when they try to lock things down.

The randomness of OT and the shootout is quite a thing. The Leafs used to have poor OT and shootout records, and now they are damn near a guarantee in extra time or the shootout. No rhyme or reason to it. I despise 3 on 3 and the shootout, no matter how many points the Leafs take from it.
