With steadier goaltending probably would have won by a couple goals tonight.

Knies needs to stay in the top six.

Jarnkrok gets way too much crap when he's probably one of the most consistent depth guys on the team.

Robertson looked good. He should stay.

Sammy needs to find his game sooner than later. Won't write him off yet, but this can't continue

Think you can officially write Knies name in pen on that top line. When Marner is on he is another level. Just need to see it more consistently.

Said it before and I will say it again. Robertson is going to be a very important player on this team despite the bs narrative that consumes these boards and the media. Leafs need an energizer bunny who can also score goals. His work ethic is going to become infectious.
I agree, but moreso to the fact we need cheap young players on entry level contracts that can contribute just like Knies, since we don't have the cap space to fill out the lineup with higher paid players. Same with Jarnkrok, people talking about trading him, but where are are you gonna get a 20/20 guy making $2m that can play anywhere in your lineup.

If Tavares could show up in the next 70 games, that would be spiffy.
Looks like he's back to his usual speed, and if he's not potting Willy's setups, he's not doing much.

Willy is just wasted with JT and Bert - ten seconds on the ice with Jarnkrok and they score the winner.

I'd love to see Willy with Jarnkrok and Knies, but I wouldn't touch the top line for now.

Benoit ended up having a decent showing tonight. xGF% of 86% and made this nice play.

Our 3 pair D man overall had a good game Benoit is a gamer, good pick up. See him in the lineup for most of the year.

Robertson played his best game as did Domi. The whole line had a great game.
Mitch and Matthews and knies line dominated the game.

Morgan showed he is easily out best offensive D man.

Woll had a great game.
Our second line was not good specifically JT he had tunnel vision and failed to distribute the puck. Bert is showing signs of turning his game around...

He threw a couple hits, broke up three 2 on 1's and was engaged.

In the O-zone it looked like it just wasn't clicking but he did manage to set up Klingberg and Tavares for good chances, but his compete level was high.

He could have been better on the Kucherov goal
Still saying that’s his worst game of the year should tell you all you need to know the kids been awesome

I really thought Nylander was pretty good tonight but that second line just is on the ice for far too many goals against.

I don't know if it's better to let Nylander go play on his own line but Bertuzzi doesn't help that line play a 200 ft game in any way
If JT isn't burying Willy's setups, he isn't helping either.

How many did he fumble away tonight?

And his defence, which was never very good, is getting much worse.

I'm sorry but win or no win this is the same team we've watched for half a decade. Pond hockey, soft, run and gun, quick ups, no D, shitty goaltending... They will win with skill in the regular season then playoffs will.come and see ya again next year

Yes but atleast we’re making progress on line construction now we need a trade or two or waive or two

I mean I'm glad, but still more of our stars erasing a deficit and this time we end up winning. I'm no goaltending expert, but I'm pretty sure someone who is would say Samsonov looks awful technically right now. The team is just not playing with the structure one would hope.

As fune as it is to see Matthews score what seems like every game and it is.

It was going to see the depth players step up in this one.

The Leafs have some great depth players in, Knies, Jarnkork, Domi and Bertuzzi.

They have to start steeping up some and tonight they did.

I am disappointed by this reality. I was hoping he could some in and play 10 minutes a night and stir some shit up. It is crystal clear, he cannot play, period. Unfortunate, but that is a major swing and a miss by Tre. That is valuable cap space he is eating up (checks notes, for 3 years?!).
Just how much do you think he is getting paid? His cap hit can be nearly completely buried when sent to the Marlies. The small amount remaining is more like a rounding error on Tavares's caphit and hardly a huge drain on the available cap. The fact that he is playing like crap is the problem, but he is not the only one. Think of Tavares contract...10 million dollars more of unburiable and many more minutes of prime playing time wasted regularly.

Domi played better as a C than LW. Think it is the alpha thing. He plays better as the Alpha on the line.

Robbie is more calm and hope this is his finally getting and understanding what he needs to do to stay in the NHL.

Having Bert, JT and Willie ain’t the best mix bc Willie is free style with puck on stick where Bert and JT are better at simple dump and chase. Something gotta give here.

still think the best option is to swap Willy and Marner. Bert/Tavares/Marner play at the same pace. Matthews will hardly be hurting with arguably the second best player on the team this year on his RW.

Offensively, yes but both Bert and JT ain’t that good with D. Rather have AM, MM and Knies together as those three can match up opposing top line with their D.

Really wish Hyman is still around, as JT, Bert and Hyman will be fantastic

Yay.

1) Obviously Sammy should never ever play against TB again. He probably shouldn't even be allowed to say Lightening, regardless of the situation. Sammy out camping: "There is a Lightening storm, we should get low in a ditch away from trees!" Rest of World: "No thanks, we'll take our chances.".

2) Knies-AM-MM. Done.

3) Hurray for Robertson. It's only one game, but good. In conjunction, Domi just had his best game yet.

4) Lagesson.. not bad?

5) AM

6) AM

7) Willy in OT, just to mention, oh my.

Honestly, you're wasting your time watching the Leafs - if you didn't get any joy from watching that comeback and only deep PO runs and a cup are the only thing that matters to you - do yourself a favour and stop watching. Either pick another team, another sport or stop all together. Your comments contain nothing useful and your "above it all" comments suck. You're the type to get invited to a party, everyone is having a good time and you complain that the buffet has something you don't like.

PO are a ways off, try and enjoy the ride or get off the bus. You're not this great hockey mind that anyone can benefit from your keen insight. GTFO
