Cooper reminds me of the Brain.

Keefe is Pinky.

The Good:

Woll, Knies, Robertson - three kids with a lot to prove doing a good job proving doubters wrong.

Matthews doing what Matthews does best. That's why he gets paid the big bucks.

The Bad:

The special teams were exactly that: special. At 71.8% the Leafs are 25th in the league on the pk.

Reaves playing less than five minutes was still a net negative despite not being scored on.

The Ugly:

Samsonov stinking up the place like vintage 2009 Vesa Toskala.

Every time I watch the Leafs power play I'm reminded of this classic Simpsons episode.

Honestly, you're wasting your time watching the Leafs - if you didn't get any joy from watching that comeback and only deep PO runs and a cup are the only thing that matters to you - do yourself a favour and stop watching. Either pick another team, another sport or stop all together. Your comments contain nothing useful and your "above it all" comments suck. You're the type to get invited to a party, everyone is having a good time and you complain that the buffet has something you don't like.

PO are a ways off, try and enjoy the ride or get off the bus. You're not this great hockey mind that anyone can benefit from your keen insight. GTFO
Sorry man the last few decades of pain and I've become disillusioned. Carolina, Boston, Boston...then Montreal in game 7 was the straw that broke the camels back. It's hard to watch all the dumb decisions get made. And don't worry, you don't have to invite me to your party. I won't come anyway.

Shouldn't you be off, like, fishing or something?

Toronto Sybil Leafs alive and well!

He's been very bad so far.
He's always behind the play and when he does have the puck he's been making some questionable decisions.
He needs to start playing better because right now he's essentially just 5M in wasted cap space.
At least he is a tradeable asset
A mid rd pk
If he doesn't fit with our team
He is a better player than this

Leafs had pretty big overhaul. I think people are being too harsh on a lot of the new guys. The team seems to need a little more time to gel. Even a young guy full of energy like Knies had to get over the hump of his concussion

Once the team finds its groove and we start the right goalie, we will be extremely difficult to beat.
Starting next year we won't be turning over the roster as as far as the forwards go
Adding Cowen Minten and Grebyonkin the following yr

3rd OT win against the Lightning. Would have been funnier if it was Tavares.
OT wins against division rivals is a missed opportunity, win the game in regulation time and it’s a 4 point game……..

We had at least 10 players in the game tonite. Best leadership I have seen from AM.
Domi made a hockey move too, first of the year.
We shall see this week if the rest show up. 2 gut check games.
I'm not sure I would call home games against Ottawa and Calgary "gut check" games. I think they will mostly be easy wins.

Willy took off and flew down the ice leaving Hagel behind.

Tampa must hate Leafs comebacks at their expense. Too bad, be better.

Are games against any Canadian based team really a gut check game for anyone?

Then why are you wasting your time posting about the Leafs on a hockey message board? Not trying to be a dick, I just don't understand the logic. If you are disillusioned and you don't enjoy it then why are you talking about it?

Classic Leafs. Just as they full on implode and posters start getting out the dynamite, they pull off a crazy comeback to give us all hope. Is this just their pride against the one team they'll get up for, or is this the beginning of an unreal run where they truly discover the value of friendship? Carefully formulated to give you hope before maximum disappointment, it's the Toronto Maple Leafs!

I thought Nylander had his worse game of the year tonight.

Can't disagree.

He didn't have any help though.

He made some good plays that died on other sticks.

Tavares seemed very slow last night.

It was good they put Nylander out with Rielly and Jarnkrok, players who can skate. Lightning were so worried about Nylander's speed on that they over pursued him and opened the ice up for Rielly.

It's been a subject of discussion, Tavares speed playing with Nylander. Last night that seemed obvious, but unless they try Nylander at center not sure the options.

My point is while they should be wins, if they are not the problems may be insurmountable.
10 players in the game is not enough. We are carrying too many guys and playing with 1 dman.

I think you are being a bit dramatic. Insurmountable problems? The team needs to get its injured players back and add a couple of middle of the road defensemen. I think those are hardly insurmountable problems. Wait until January when they are first in the Atlantic and then acquire the missing pieces.

I take full responsibility for the win. At 4-1 I turned it off to watch the Voice, imagine.
I pledge to not watch the next game to give the edge. If they win I will continue, right to the Cup, but I will go to the parade.

Mitch had a great game.
I especially liked how he played the OT.
He finds Matthews right away for the point blank chance but stays with the play and wins a puck battle against Point, chips it past Hedman to gain control.
He then has Matthews right in the slot but it's not a lock the pass would get through so he just makes the smart play of exiting the Ozone with the puck and regrouping. Feels like many times in OT we make that high difficulty pass and it gets picked off and then a odd man rush goes the other way.

Knies on the top line with a goal and a couple of assists.
Robertson playing third line with a lovely assist.
Reaves Benched!!!
I was pinching myself to make sure I wasn't dreaming.
If only Klingberg was benched, and traded for a bag of pucks I'd be in heaven.

When McCabe comes back maybe Keefe goes 11/7. Benoit and Lagesson both played well.
Still surprised that Benoit wasn't a complete disaster, maybe Kllingberg was his anchor last year?
