Can’t wait to have a healthy full line up again. You can really see the absence of Sandin on the back end!

After 5.25 years it is pretty clear that it doesn't matter who Matthews plays with.

He is productive, and his line shines no matter what.

With Marner and Spezza being out it does show how great it is to have Kase on the third line tho.

Also Spezza and Simmonds make a great 4th line and the whole team plays better as a whole.

The team needs a (temporary) solution on defense for the upcoming 4 game road trip. A 3rd pairing of Holl-Rubins doesn't cut it. It's better to go with Muzzin/Holl and Liljegren/Rubins if they really insist on continuing to use Rubins. I think Rubins playing another game is unlikely. Here's a temporary solution: Rielly/Liljegren, Muzzin/Holl, Brodie/Biega.

Wasn't exactly a vintage performance but we got the points and our #2 goaltender is playing again so there's some positives

Flush this one and move on, the less said about this one the better

Looking at Holl's expression as Keefe is talking to him.... may be I am reading too much into it but looks like he thinks he didn't do anything wrong and Keefe is just yapping for no reason

True, it’s just odd that a goal he wasn’t all that at fault for was the breaking point. But I suppose it was more about sending a message from Keefe that tonight wasn’t good enough.

I see it as Keefe deciding to retire that pairing for the night and spot Holl in to protect against exhausting the remaining 4 defenders.

It looks like he's recovering from yet another bad shift and too tired to process anything.

Having said that, Holl's play on the Kubalik goal was baffling. Skating hard, for once, only to double team coverage on his off side and leave his man wide open.
