i'll take the Dub but can the team set a goal at the beginning of the season where we dont blow a 3 goal lead the whole year? Man that would be lovely.

For whatever reason, in the past week, Holl forgot how to make basic plays in his own end.

It's not even like every shift is a disaster for him. Technically, Muzzin had more bad shifts than Holl did today. But that 3rd goal against is amateur defending on his part, just like Muzzin in the game against Tampa. The coach needs to tell these guys to go for the guy in front of the net rather than going for the guy who is covered along the wing.

Mrazek played a game very similar to the one he played with the Marlies. He was arguably the best player on the ice for us today, and yet he still gave up 4 goals against. At least this time he had offensive support.

Holl's coverage has been bad, but defense coverage in general has not been an issue. We are having troubles moving the puck forward right now and making simple plays... And we are turning over way too many pucks over on low-risk plays.

At least we are still 2-2-1 in one of our worst 5 game stretches of the year.

First and foremost, I'm happy with the win. I can also appreciate that this was Mrazek's first appearance in a great deal of time. It unfortunately hasn't been the greatest of starts for him though thus far in his Leaf tenure. Ultimately, going back to the game's biggest takeaway - the W!

Does anyone feel good about this win? Not me.
Good teams find a way to win, and the Leafs manage to follow up a loss with a win. In fairness, Mrazek was shaky coming back from injury. I have no faith in him right now, especially considering how poorly he did in his AHL conditioning stint.

Easy call

The team is really missing Marner/Spezza/Sandin, especially Marner. The change in depth just reverberates throughout the lineup when he's not in.

Looking forward to Mikheyev coming back too.

Ugly win. But we'll take it.

Gotta find a way to stop letting leads go to waste!

He was by far the best Marlie in that game.

It was reminiscent of this game, except without any of the goal support, and having as sloppy of a 1st period as the other two.

The only difference is that, for the Marlies, that is a regular occurrence. For the Leafs, it is an anomaly.

Playing without Holl - Muzzin looked like a top 2-3 defenseman.

Playing with Holl - Rubin who look like an NHL player since call up struggled getting -3 and ended up being bench.

f*** Keefe!

A win is a win :)

I think they need to find their roles again after the lineup was turned upside down.

Really miss Marner, the Engvall-Kampf-Kase line, Spezza and Sandin.

The old third line was the glue that held their game together. They were like clockwork clearing the zone, and that just isn't happening now. They're hemmed in, and are no longer setting up the top two lines the way they were before the EKK-line was broken up.

I had the sense that Rubins didn't play much late in the game, and Muzzin was rolling with both Holl and Liljegren.

I thought Holl badly misplayed the Hawks' fourth goal, and I hope Liljegren takes his spot with Muzzin.
