In it's totality, it didn't feel like a game we shouldn't win, but it did feel like a game we wouldn't win.

Good battle. Found a way.

It feels like a potential coming out of a slum game that isn't all that good in and of itself, but can settle things down and be a stepping stone for better things. But it really depends on what happens next.

Play another game like this, not that great. You're still in it. Clean things up and start building momentum and string together wings, it's a turning point.

It's not hard after watching this game why the team opted to keep him as a depth piece then try and get a late pick.

He's not going to be perfect, but he can help get the job done when needed, especially when injuries hit

Kerfoot is bound to explode a little bit too. He might peak at the right time.

A different number ? Crooked looking scribble ??

MINUS-2

Oh yeah
It’s just another typical game from one of the all time most no heart , weakest , meekest , nonchalant players in league history

One good pass doesn’t make up for all his other bad plays. Soft and slow doesn’t cut it in the playoffs

It just comes down to the +/- of how much you help vs hurt your team, aka how many game tying and game winning assists can you generate, vs how many mental lapses result in goals against.

Solid win..I also liked that Jarkrok-Laff-Nylander line. I just think giving Willy fast players to play with works better. Then we can have a 2B line of JT-Oreily-Knies

Lafferty had an awful first period but settled in decently well. He was also over 50% on faceoffs I think. I hope he can show a little more urgency but he did alright against a top team.

Jarkrok is vastly underrated.

It looked disjointed in the 1st but after that, it got stronger by the shift.
I hear you guys, In fairness though, leafs generally looked bad in the first

Felt like a big win for the boys. Some pretty happy faces on the bench / ice after that one.

Creates a wining road trip, keeps some distance between them and Tampa, beat a team ahead of them in the standings in their barn, first game back in the Eastern Time Zone, missing 2 of top 3 centres, had a cheapie go in on them, on the short end of PP time, and had Kerfoot on the first line.

I'd say that is perseverance lol

Hoping you are right and it is a turning point into more consistent play down the stretch.

I hope Knies is good, because I don't think you can trust the likes of ZAR/Holmberg/Steeves as depth options in the playoffs. McMann seems solid but needs another look

If that is a line it likely means 3 regulars got hurt, depth-wise, I think we are in a really good spot.

It’s kinda like the adversity is… themselves. Aside from the injuries, if they had just shown up and been more respectable in Edmonton win or lose, and not had that double SH meltdown in Vancouver they wouldn’t have come into this game feeling like they were climbing out of a deep pit.

Gutty win, get back onto a solid footing and build momentum with clean efforts and wins.
