Not gonna say Campbell was amazing as he didn't get much work and only had to make a good save or two, but I like that he at least looks mostly steady and calm in net and isn't floppy and all over the place like Andersen is alot of the time.

What a turnover by Marner in the final seconds, that's the kind of play a guy who bet a lot of money on the other team makes.
He was also the best player in the ice for most of the second and chunks of the first. But sure, let’s focus on the turn around at the end of the game.

I too would start Campbell again on Monday. He didn't get too much rubber go his way today and in the condensed schedule you simply don't have time to let Andersen figure it out. He should be starting until he falters or a back to back.

and how many shots did the leafs have on the opposition; and how was the leafs defense playing?

#context matters
Yes, because they couldn't let shots get to Freddy. They had to play defensively, which we know isn't their strong point. Tonight they got the saves, so they could play more Offensively.

Get the saves, Get the domination!

Good game but that should be expected after yesterday's game. Marner and Matthews responded with great performances. The 2nd line needs to get going and the change is obvious.
Brodie was terrific after yesterday.
Campbell was really good and didn't give up deflating goals. Freddy has 2 strikes. I would give him the Jets game and if he is bad, you go with Campbell.

I wish we had a player who could deal with Stutzle the same way they have dealt with Robertson.

Liked their game for the most part, solid effort. But they still play tentative, nervous and foolish (especially Mitch near the end). They lack killer instinct and missing execution still - but it’s very early this should improve. That said, ultimately it’s this effort that I’m still waiting to see CONSISTENTLY. It drives me nuts they keep doing the Jekyl and Hyde nonsense

Happy with the effort, good bounce back from last night. Hopefully things even out, soon.

Not looking forward to playing a team with a Covid outbreak.

I haven't watched the game yet (I recorded it), how was Campbell in net?

He didn't face a lot of shots if we are being honest. The Stuzle goal probably should have been saved, but it was a sick first goal for him. The biggest difference is Campbell was composed even with a late game push. I don't think I really felt like we were going to lose that game or let in a bad goal.
