Player of the game, for me, Sheldon Keefe
In the last 4 minutes of play he had: Vesey, Spezza, Barabanov, Engvall, Mikky, Nylander all heading out and contributing defensive efforts to help Hutch gain the shut-out. I didn't see the last game, but people were saying it was our most complete of the year. This, if not better, would be our 2nd best. I'm shaking my head while I type this, but this team is defensively sound. A great deal of credit has to got to Keefe and how he's kept everyone engaged. There's another thread on this board that asks if this team has an identifiable identity, a style we can call our own. I don't know if we do, as I think we're now capable of winning in a number of ways. What I do see is that The Toronto Maple Leafs are now a
TEAM, and that is the biggest step forward I've seen in this organization since Matthews was drafted.
