Solid 2 games. No goals allowed! Nylander really has come on these last 3 games. Picked up some scoring slack. Hyman is a tireless beast. 3rd string goalie gets a shutout. Couldn’t have scripted it better.

Edmonton can't even score a goal on hutch?

Clearly the worse team. Doesn't even matter if they blow us out next time we meet, it doesn't change the absolute failure of a performance they put on these two games.

I wasn't so much nervous for the win, but for Hutch getting the shutout. I was touching wood all game, especially in the 3rd. Happy for him.

How am I going to sleep with all this adrenaline? Back-to-back shutouts, no Matthews, different goalies against an Oilers team without any injuries. McDavid shutdown for nearly 4 minutes of PP time; Draisaitl with 4:35. Team didn't even back down to the goonery near the end and can feasibly replace any one of Vesey, Boyd, or Barabanov with Sabourin if they deem it necessary. Both Hyman and Mikheyev playing like Selke candidates. Even though the team was outshot, the score could have been even more lopsided since Smith made some huge saves down the stretch, including a point-blank one on Muzzin.
