had to switch to the laptop because phone was dead, but the team earned a laptop post lol
Where to even start, I only didn't like robertson's and timmins's games 100%. They still had their moments, robertson set up mccabe and timmins was still ok, but they made some boneheaded plays but it didn't cost them so whatever
On to the good stuff:
Joseph freaking Woll, dude was sharp as a tack and dialed tf in. He made save after save and kept us in it during that BS second period. Quick f*** you to the refs and that defender for "staying grounded" by levitating 6 inches up. Woll was spectacular
D was on point, countless times they broke up dangerous plays or cleared the puck. Huge shoutout to Benoit, who had his best game of the season easily. Great D, decent transition, stood up for his teammate and even showed some offence lol. D as a whole was elite and was nice seeing them clearing every rebound and blacking 329520935 shots.
It's been so long that I forgot bottom six's could look like that. Fast, purposeful, ferocious, and also dangerously skilled. Solid game for steeves and holmberg, Lorentz took like 4 shots to the shins. The wonder kids were just spectacular, Minten I though looked good, but Grebyenkin was in his own tier. Dude didn't just look like an nhler, he looked like a seasoned top 6 player out there. Set up a ton, played defence a bit, skated hard, hit hard, and forechecked. He's earned a stint for a while
Tavares with one of his most balanced outings, he was good offensively but he has done that before, but his defence was a master class. Pucks were out, smart plays were made, skating was used right. Loved the tackle
Marner was a 2 way beast. Elite on the PK, great on 5 on 5, and was purposeful on the PP. He generated, was a bit chippy and also helped on the scoresheet. That's the type of game I imagine when I think of a true 2 way superstar, dominating all facets
Nylander looked like the most dangerous player on the ice. He damn well turned into Mcdavid or Kucherov in that third period with how many chances he set up or had. He needs to keep up this intensity a bit more consistently and definitely bring it for the playoffs.
One more f*** you to the refs before I end this TED talk rant.
