Nylander, Rielly, Hyman, Barabanov, Kerfoot were great for most of the game

Marner and Matthews and JT worked hard but didn't get much puck luck tonight

Overall well deserved win. Should have been 5-1 but will take the 2 points and let rittch go back to being a nobody

I thought that was Kerfoot's worst game as a Leaf tbh.

Happy for the win but I am very worried about matthews. Didnt take any draws at all in the third period and was obvious since JT was joined with marner in OT and last shift in the third period.


I really hope he doesnt miss any time

What a gutsy win. Finally finding ways to win against mediocre goalies playing above their head against this team.

Nylander needed an ugly one to break the floodgates open. Redemption after missing an assignment in front of the net on the goal against. That OT goal was beautiful.

Barabanov with his second straight impressive game. I have more time for him.

Half the depth injured with Hutchinson in net and they squeak one out. Overall another great defensive game while almost doubling CGY in shots. Good teams win games like this despite injuries and slumps.

Hutch deserved that. He's done a good job the past couple games after the way things ended last season.

The chemistry on that GWG makes me wonder if they should go back to Nylander and Mathews and have Marner fix Tavares. I'd be reluctant with how dominant Matthews and Marner have been, but JT and Nylander just aren't working this season.

Matthews and Nylander have always clicked. Just Marner is the superior winger and they click better. That said, Tavares struggles way more without Marner driving his line. Some days not sure what to do with JT as he's aging and his contract is going to become hard to swallow. At 11 mil he needs to be driving his line, not needing a driver

LOL Rittich was the best player in that game. Nylander gets the glory but Rittich was pretty much Calgary's entire team for two straight games.

They can back into things if Rittich stays hot.

Rittich isn't this level of goalie though, he clearly played over his head the last 2 games. He had a stretch like this last year as well when he was incredible but ended the year off with a worse SV% than Freddy last year.

Flames replaced him for a reason with Markstrom. Next time we play the flames, if Rittich is in net, I doubt he stones us again. He is riding a hot wave but overall is a average 1B

I've been critical of Willy lately.. he needs to play the way he did in the last 5min of that game more, regardless of the goals. He will produce on a better pace if he should more intensity like that.

Good game, flames didn't play that bad either defensively, but rittich stole the show for them... We kept pushing, and it payed off.

Props to Rittich. He played great tonight, really kept them in this.

Barabanov and Mikheyev really showed some great moments. If only they could score.

I actually feel bad for Rittich. A few seconds away from back to back shutouts against the highest scoring team in the league. Pretty amazing really.

Nylander ruins an insane game by Rittich.

These are the kind of wins I love. Tight D, grind it out with a third.of your team injured and a third string goalie in net.

Good play all around to fight it out for the point. It's not always easy.
